Obituary: Atkinson, Dorothea E., 79, of Land O’ Lakes, passed away 8, 2015. Dorothea was born in Sandusky, OH to Benjamin and Antonette Camp and moved to the Tampa area in 1955. She worked for Nu-Air Manufacturing in Tampa for 35 years before retiring. Dorothea is survived by her loving children; sons, Ben (Marie) Atkinson and Joe Atkinson, daughter, Julie (Jimmy) Townsend, grandchildren, Tiffany, Trevor, Austin, Mike, Johnny, Robert, Kenny, and Brian, sister, Margie Nicholi and sister-in-law, Lucille Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert O. and a son, Bobby L. Atkinson. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on , 11, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Blount & Curry West Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Dr. Tampa. Obituary: Charles W. Atkinson, 88 of Jacksonville Beach, FL passed away May 18, 2010. Born 2, 1922 in Chesapeake, WV, he was the son of the late Norman and Nanny (Tucker) Atkinson. Charles served in the United States Marines from 1942 - 1945 during WWII in the Pacific theater. He was an active member of Beach United Methodist Church holding many offices in the church. His life in the church was very important to him, as was his love for his friends and church members. He retired as a Sales Associate from J.C. Penney. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jeanne Atkinson of Jacksonville Beach; daughter, Kasey (David) Peters of Jacksonville Beach; sister, Rebecca Hamilton of Southern Pines, NC; grandchildren, Katie (Adam) Myers and Becky (Manuel) Mendez; great-grandchild, Gabriel Myers all of Jacksonville Beach; nephew, Neal (Cheryl) Houck of Middleburg, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. He had many friends who loved him and he will be dearly missed. Celebration of life services will be held 11:00 A.M., , May 29, 2010 at Beach United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made, in Charles name, to the McGraw of Community Hospice or the Jacksonville Humane Society. |
