Obituary: Alfonso Fonso Aristeo Ayala Alfonso, 74, who lived in Pueblo, CO for most of his life and has spent a total of seven years living in Colorado Springs, CO. His sunset came on the 18th Day of 2014 due to kidney failure. He passed peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by Friends and Family. Alfonso was born on 3rd 1939 in Pueblo Colorado. His mother was Ynocencia Ayala, and had two Brothers and three Sisters. Alfonso Attended Central High school in Pueblo CO. He worked various jobs until he eventually started work at Dana Corp. and after 24 years retired from there in 1994. Alfonso had a very active lifestyle. He enjoyed many hobbies and activities including; fishing, camping, or even just taking random trips to the mountains for a picnic. He liked to gamble in Cripple Creek, Black Hawk, and Las Vegas. He enjoyed woodworking and taking things apart just to see how they worked. He also loved restoring old furniture and anything else he could get his hands on and fix. Alfonso was an amazing cook and everyone will always remember his avondigas, his red pork Chili, and of course his Chicken Soup. Everyone loved to eat anything he cooked but no one liked to clean the huge mess he would make during his cooking. During his years in Colorado Springs he loved to make unannounced trips back to Pueblo to visit his Brother Benito and Sister Elsie, and while he was in Pueblo loved to eat at some of his favorite restaurants. Alfonso also loved to play pool and ride his motorcycle. Above all else Alfonso loved music and could play his guitar like no other. He played with Mariachi Del Pueblo for Mount Carmel Church. He was also a member of Trio Alegria, and Grupo Oro. Although he never learned how to read music, he knew exactly how to play just by listening. He also enjoyed teaching anyone who wanted to learn. Whether he was playing with the Mariachi or just sitting at the house with friends and family, He loved to play. He had a very lovable sense of humor. He was very well known for telling jokes and making people laugh at every opportunity he had. He was very quick and witty with his humor. He sure knew how to catch people off guard. Alfonso left behind many wonderful memories to his family, friends and loved ones. Those who knew him would agree that he sure was one of a kind. Alfonso is survived by his Sister Elsie Espinoza, His four Children; Alfonso Greg (Vicki) Ayala, Benito (Ruby), Leroy (Shelley), and Geraldine (Bartlett) Crosswhite. He has fourteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, four Godchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is received in Heaven by his Mother Ynocencia Ayala, his wife Maria Elvira Vito Ayala, his two great-grandchildren Hawke Ayala and Baby X, and his beloved dog Chinook. At Alfonsos request, there will not be a viewing or a rosary. His wishes were to be cremated. Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church (421 Clark St.) on 25th 2014 at 10:00AM. in Pueblo. Family will receive guests at the D.A.V. (2850 ONeal Ave) following services. |
