Obituary: Dewayne "Andy" Anderson passed away peacefully on 30, 2014 with his family by his side. Born on 21, 1925 he was the youngest of seventeen children that were raised by his grandparents in Sisseton, South Dakota. As a combat veteran of both World War II and the Korean War he was awarded two bronze stars and the Purple Heart. the war he moved to Arvada, Colorado to begin his career in education. Starting out as a teacher he quickly advanced to assistant principal and then principal of Hodgekins Junior High in Westminster. When health issues forced him to resign as principal, he became school counselor providing a very positive impact on the lives of hundreds of kids. Crippled by MS for most of his adult life he had plenty to complain about, but anyone who called and asked how he was doing could immediately sense a big smile over the phone as he said "By golly I'm doing great, just great". When Andy drove to the store, he would pass up the handicap parking opting instead for a spot near the back of the lot. Ten minutes later, using a cane and pulling his bad leg along with his good arm he would get to the front of the store. If asked why he didn't park in the reserved spots, he would say in surprise "Why, those are reserved for handicapped people". We lost one of a rare breed today, if all of us had one tenth the persona of Andy Anderson the world would be a much better place. Andy is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Roma Jean; nephews Mark Lee, David Read and Truman Nelson; nieces Jackie Lee, Jill Talbot, Virgie Knutson and Carol Martenson; sisters-in-law Mary Hage, Naomi Lee and Shari Read. Graveside services will be , 5, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at Ft. Logan National , staging area B, reception will follow at the Olinger Crown Hill reception center at 11:30 A.M. We want to express special thanks to Stacey Rupp and all the caregivers from Sevens who provided such wonderful assistance to Andy for the last couple of years. |

Obituary: Darryl Albert Anderson, 87, of Ft. Morgan, CO, died , 2, 2015 at Valley View Villa in Ft. Morgan. Darryl was born on 27, 1927 in Haxtun, CO to Albert and Ruth (Young) Anderson. Darryl grew up in the Fairfield Community on a farm south of Sedgwick. He attended schools in Fairfield and Haxtun, graduating from Haxtun High School. He enlisted in the US Army during the Korean War (1951-1953) and was stationed in Germany. On 9, 1956, he married Wilma Ione Houser and together they farmed outside of Haxtun for three years. moved to Loveland, CO in 1959, where he and Wilma raised their 4 children. He was a USPS letter carrier for 31 years, retiring in 1990, a part time auto mechanic, and in his etirement a Walmart clerk. Darryl was a faithful member of the Loveland Church of the Nazarene; he served the church in multiple leadership and service roles. Wilma died in 2002 after nearly 46 years of marriage. In 2004, Darryl moved to Ft. Morgan, became the companion of Alene Johnson and a member of the Ft. Morgan Church of the Nazarene, which warmly embraced him. In 2012 he was thrilled to be included in an Honor Flight to Washington DC, acknowledging his military service. Darryl is survived by two daughters, Garnet Anderson (David Carrell) of Seattle, WA and Melanie Bacon (John) of Olathe, KS; two sons, Quentin Anderson (Beth) of Creve Coeur, MO and Arlen Anderson (Tina) of Gilbert, AZ; sister, Sylvia Bogenhagen; brother, Vayle Anderson; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Ruth Anderson, sister, Della Anderson Hink and brother, Gayle Anderson. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. , 10, 2015 followed by funeral service at 10:30 a.m. both at Ft. Morgan Church of the Nazarene. Interment at 3:00 p.m. at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Ft. Collins, CO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ft. Obituary: Dan William Anderson was the son of Mary Francis Stec and Sixton E. Anderson, born in Haxtun, CO on 13, 1933. Dan was the second born of five brothers, Hershel, Melvin, Wesley and Ronald. The younger years of his life were spent in Nebraska with a short stay in Arkansas. He lived for a while in Casper, WY. until moving to Denver, Colorado in 1943. Dan attended Cole Jr. High School and graduated from Manual High School in 1951. Shortly thereafter, Dan joined the Marines Corps. Dan married Edith Atkeson in 1954. had a daughter, Candy born in 1955 and a son, Dan II born in 1956. He has two grandchildren, Laine and Jacob, and great grandson Jason. Dan worked most of his civilian life for the Postal Service and retired from the Postal Service. In 1966, Dan purchased acreage east of Parker, Colorado and built a home where he, his father and son lived. He always had a couple of horses on the property as he enjoyed riding very much. Throughout Dans life, he was always drawn to Nebraska where he often visited his relations and frequently visited his uncle and aunt, John and Helen Stec. In 2007, Dan married his long time companion, Elaine Allen. Due to health issues, Dan eventually left Parker and spent most of his time between Elaines home and the V.A . The nursing home staff reported that Dan passed on quietly and without pain. The staff then arranged for a small on site ceremony which dozens of his fellow Veterans attended. Dan will be missed as he touched numerous lives during his time here on earth. He was a good son, brother, father, grandfather and husband. He enjoyed talking to people and always had a good joke to tell. Remember him often and all the good times we had together. Of Parker, CO, passed away on May 1, 2011. A visitation will be Mon., May 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. , Tues., May 10 at 10:00 a.m., both held at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 S. Colorado Blvd., Littleton. Burial to follow at Ft.
