Obituary: Marie M. Affleck, our sweet and loving mother has passed away and is reunited with her husband and three sons in Heaven. Our mother was a bright and caring woman who worked very hard to provide and support her entire family. Marie was the rock of our large family; she loved taking care of her husband and six boys who all enjoyed the fruits of her incredible work ethic and faith in the Lord. She lost her husband and three sons at a very early age and continued to persevere throughout her 95 years. She loved to travel throughout Europe and enjoyed French art; she loved the Cubs from her native Chicago as well as being an avid Bronco and Avalanche fan. She was a prolific reader and top notch Bridge player. Marie loved antiques and all things to do with arts and crafts. Her ability to stay focused and keep an eye on what was important in life was truly magical. Maries love of her family was the most important facet of her long life. She never complained and was always Up. She will be missed by all who were fortunate to know her. We all are thankful for her long and wonderful life. She will be missed and knowing that we all will be together again in heaven on that rainbow bridge is what will keep us going. Marie was born May 31, 1921 in Chicago, IL to Louis and Mary Haugh, and went to be with her Lord 5, 2016. A Memorial service to honor her faith, family and life will be held 16, at 11:00 a.m., at Crist Mortuary Chapel. Marie will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband William in a private ceremony at Sacred Heart of Mary . As a remembrance of Maries faith the family suggests donations be made to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 2312 14th St., Boulder, CO 80304. Marie is preceded in death by her husband William J. Affleck; sons David L. Affleck, William Affleck II, and Gregory Affleck; and sisters Collete Haugh and Lorreta Melgin. Survivors include her sons Philip Affleck of Boulder, CO; Timothy Affleck of Arvada, CO; and Robert Affleck of Niwot, CO; and grandchildren Stephen, David, Tamara, Richard, Ryan, Jennifer and Lauren.
