Obituary: Sybil Bates Anderson a native of Arizona entered into rest 31, 2011 in Cottonwood. She was born on 10, 1928 at home on Taylor Street in Phoenix to Palmer M. Simmons and Anna Haisten Simmons. She attended Isaac Elementary School and Phoenix Union High School. Sybil married Clay J. R. Bates 13, 1946. had 45 wonderful loving years together. had three children: Linda (Ken) Martin of Nutrioso, AZ; John Bates of Farmington, NM and Tom (Pam) Bates of Tempe, AZ. Clays death, Sybil married a long time family friend in 1996, William Anderson. During her youth she enjoyed jitterbugging at Willow Breeze and won some dance contest. She was a stay-at-home Mom raising her children. She enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, watching her soap opera, square dancing, genealogy and playing board and card games. She is survived by her husband, William Anderson; her three children; grandchildren: Marlayna (Clint) Munoz, Erica (Tom) Lango and Kory (Brittany) Bates; four great grandchildren; and her stepson, Jeff Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents and Clay J. R. Bates. The family would like to send a special hank you to Verde Valley Community Hospice for their support and the loving care that they gave to our Mother and Stepfather. She was a wonderful, loving wife and mother and will be missed, Until we meet again. Visitation 10:30-11am , 3, 2011 at Resthaven Park Mortuary 4310 E Southern Ave Phoenix, AZ. Obituary: Sarah Jane Anderson went home to be with her Lord on 2, 2014 and passed away peacefully. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother/great grandmother, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Irvin and son Dean Anderson. She is survived by her daughter Donna Fleming and husband Jim of Sun City West; their children Andrew Fleming of Glendale, AZ and Carrie Nemish, her husband Aaron and their daughter Sarah Lanee of Temecula, CA. Born in Boynton, PA in 1926 and moved with family to Akron, OH in 1946 where she met and married Irvin. During their time in Akron, Sarah was very active in her church working in the children's ministries, school classes and hosting Vacation Bible School in her home for over 20 years. Moving to Glendale, AZ in 1996 she began attending Christ's Church of the Valley where she remained a member and participant of the SAMS Class for 15 years. Throughout her life Sarah loved the Lord and spent her life showing and sharing Him with everyone she met. Although we know where she is, her presence here will be missed. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Banner Hospice, 14505 W. Granite Valley Dr., Bldg A, Sun City West, AZ 85375. |
