Obituary: Glennadine Ketterman Auvil, age 84 years, a resident of Elkins WV, departed this life morning, 2, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, OH after a brief illness. She was born, , May 30, 1932 at Elkins WV, a daughter of Glenn Whittier and Jessie J. Shreve Ketterman. Her husband of 59 years, Dallas Auvil Jr. of Belington preceded her in death. Surviving are one daughter, Susan Ellen Auvil-Novak (Ron) of Westlake OH; and two sons, Glenn Craig Auvil (Mary) of Simpsonville, SC; and Dallas Gregory Auvil (Melissa) of Cincinnati, OH: two brothers, Randall Ketterman of MA, her twin brother Glenn Whittier Ketterman Jr. (Faye) of Elkins; two sisters, Mary Davis of FL, Patricia Pat Nestor of Elkins; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Betsy, Joy, Andy, Emily Sam, and Nick; two great grandchildren, John and Lilly: and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are one brother, James Franklin Bus Ketterman; and three sisters, Ruth Ketterman, Jean Cloninger and Joann Buchanan. Glennadine graduated from stead High School in Florida with the class of 1950 and married Dallas on 16, 1953. A devoted mother and grandmother she worked outside the home to help support her family. Glennadine had a passion for animals and flowers, enjoyed needlework and was an avid reader. She also had a heart for women and children and for their benefit she built a womens center in Kabingo, Uganda that will be named in her honor. A graveside service will be conducted on , 11, 2017 at 11 AM at the Maplewood at Elkins, WV. The Reverend Dr. Basil A. Hensley will officiate and interment will follow. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to Hope for Kabingo, P. O. Obituary: Robert “Bobby” Wayne Austin 58 of Rhodell passed away , 6, 2015. Born 8, 1956, he was the son of the late George and Jeanette Austin and surviving parents, James and Judy Shrewsbury of Bunell, FL. Robert enjoyed being in the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, working on cars and gardening. He loved spending time with his grandkids and had a new found passion of riding horses. Robert was a coal miner for 37 years. Robert is preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Austin, Tombo Austin, Eckie Vest and sister, Sheila Hinegar. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Victoria “Vickie” Smith Austin of Rhodell; sons, Robert Dewayne Austin and wife, Melissa of Rhodell, Joshua Lee Austin and wife, Heather of Rhodell, Michael Anthony Austin and companion, Tiffany Hull of Crab Orchard, William Christopher Austin of Rhodell; adopted son, Dallas Mark Austin; adopted daughter, Brooke Lynn Austin; granddaughters, Summer, Alyssa and Alexis; grandsons, Doug and Ethan; brothers, Jimbo, Kenny, Roy and Jay; sisters, Dottie and Andrea; mother-in-law, “Maw” Della Hayworth. Services will be held at 12:00 PM , 13, 2015 at Williams Blue Ridge , Sophia. Burial will follow at Bud . Friends may gather with the family from 11 – 12 PM at the funeral home.
