Obituary: Leonard B. Aylesworth, age 91, of Stanwood, WA quietly passed away on 26, 2014. He was born to Cecil and Alta Aylesworth on 21, 1923, in Toppenish, Washington. He leaves behind his wife of 14 years, Helen Nation Aylesworth, children Shirleen Aylesworth Schuh, Sally Aylesworth, and Joe Aylesworth (Diana), Step-daughters Zelda Nation Crane (Hal), Gwen Nation Chambers (Jon) and their families. Grandchildren Melanie Schuh Winkley (Randy), Angela Schuh Nyborg (John), Mandy Aylesworth Thompson, (Scott), Amber Aylesworth Glen, (Allan), & Brandon Aylesworth (Byron), 12 Great-Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Leonard was preceded in death by his first wife Anna Lacock Aylesworth after 56 years of marriage, his parents, and 5 brothers, Monroe, Orval, Edgar, Donald and Carroll Aylesworth. Leonard spent his growing up years in Washington and Montana, living mostly on farms, and milking many cows. He attended schools in Clear Lake, Mt. Vernon & Arlington, WA and Ronan, Montana. He met and married Anna Lacock in Polson, Mt. prior to joining the army and spending time in the Philippines, during World War II, where he was in communications. returning from the war, Leonard and Anna spent time in the Swan Valley, Round Butte and Ronan, Montana area, where he worked for The American Breeders Association and then for the Ronan Telephone . In 1955 Leonard moved his family to Seattle, WA where he worked for Seattle City Light for a brief time, before moving to Marysville, WA, where he worked for West Coast Telephone , which later became General Telephone Co. In 1963 he and family moved to Granite Falls, WA where he was able to enjoy a little farm again, with a few farm animals. In 1999, he and Anna moved to Clinton, WA for a brief time, and where they resided when Anna passed away. Leonard later married Helen Nation and they lived briefly in Marysville prior to moving to Mt. Vernon, and then to Merrill Gardens Retirement in Stanwood, where he resided at the time of his death. Viewing will be held at the Weller , 327 N MacLeod Ave., Arlington, WA 98223, at 5-8 p.m., , 1, 2014. A funeral service will be held at the Arlington Free Methodist Church, 730 E. Highland Dr., Arlington with burial in the Arlington Municipal . |

Obituary: Longtime Bremerton area resident and loving wife, Sharon Marie Ayles, 63, passed away ,8 2015, at Harrison Medical . A Memorial Service will be held on 23 at 1 PM at Miller Woodlawn , 5505 Kitsap Way, Bremerton,WA with a social hour immediately following in reception room. Sharon was born in Bremerton, Washington, in of 1951, to proud parents Mark and Betty Gillespie-Monasmith. In her early years Sharon attended school in Port Orchard until her high school years when she moved to Olympia. She graduated from North Thurston High School in of1970. Sharon worked as a Retail Clerk for many years at St Vincent DePaul and later at the Salvation Army. She enjoyed taking care of her customers and knew many by name. She always had a joke or had something to say that would make them not only laugh but brighten their day. Sharon and her husband Rodney were married on 18, 1981 and were able to spend34 grand years of marriage together. One of their favorite activities was holding season tickets to the University of Washington Huskies games. As a hobby, Sharon enjoyed cooking shows and collecting cookbooks and kitchen gadgets. She loved her pets and visiting with family and friends, Sharon was an avid Cowboys and Husky fan hardly ever missing a game. Sharon knew the names of all the players and even named some of her pets after her favorite team players.She will be greatly missed by her husband and family which include her husband Rodney Ayles of Bremerton, Step-Mother, Dorothy Monasmith of Bridgeport,Nebraska and Sister-in-laws, Carol Phillips and Roberta Spears and many aunts, uncles and cousins, nieces and nephews.Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. are entrusted to Miller-Woodlawn . |
