Obituary: Gladys Helen Bass Arrington, 83, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away on , 22, 2017. She was born in Koehler Virginia on 16, 1933 to Lewis Vernon Bass and Margaret Hylton Bass. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Lee Arrington, son David Gleason, and granddaughter Melissa Rogers. She is survived by her daughters Cynthia Montrief and husband Rudy, Sharon Rosenberger and husband Joseph, and Kelly Hankins and husband Bruce; son Timothy Gleason and wife Kitty; and sister Garrett; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Gladys was Baptist by faith. earning her Associates degree, she was office manager at Kens Carpet Shop for over 30 years. She spent her entire life caring for others. She loved reading, golf, crocheting, crafts, as well as working with ceramics. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. , 25, 2017, at Community Services, 109 Fontaine Drive, Ridgeway, Va, 24148. Rev. William Preskitt will be officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Mountain View are by Community Services, 109 Fontaine Drive, Ridgeway, Va, 24148 |
