Obituary: Charles Robert Pete Andrews, 64, of Lynchburg, passed away on , 17, 2015 at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born on 20, 1950 in Farmville, he was the son of the late Riley Aubrey Andrews and Dorothy Andrews. Charles retired from Colony Tires. He enjoyed Nascar, football, and was a UVA fan. Charles especially enjoyed being around and taking care of his family. Left to cherish his memory are his two sisters, Rebecca Hamilton and husband Lester and Harriett Hamilton; nieces and nephews, Luther Ray Martin, Jr. and wife Shirley, Marie Loving Norris, Victoria Nicole Hamilton, Elizabeth DeMoss, Marvin Gaye Hamilton, and Carrel Aubrey Hamilton and wife Elizabeth; numerous great nieces and nephews; and special friends, Aubrey and Brenda Deaton and Ann Smiley. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on , 21, 2015 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on , 22, 2015 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. Obituary: Barbara C. Andrews, 88, of Afton, passed from this life, surrounded by the love of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her two dearly loved brothers, Wilfred Mick Copplestone of Yorkshire, England and Maurice R. Copplestone of London, Ontario. Barbara and Maurice shared daily tea, love of counted cross-stitch and music for 33 years. Barbara is survived by her son, Edward M. Andrews of Charlotte, NC and Jane M. Andrews of Afton. She also enjoyed the love and support of her chosen daughters, Amelia McCulley, Beth Tyler, Toni Roby, Gayle Ernst and Virginia Fuentes; as well as of her chosen grandson, Kyle Patterson. Sue Lindsay of St. Thomas, Ontario, was her best friend, traveling companion and support during her health challenges. Barbara grew up in Birmingham, England. She and her brothers were raised by their maternal grandmother after the loss of their mother as young children. She and her family survived the loss of 3 houses due to the bombings during World War II. She came to the United States in 1955 when she married Rodney L. Andrews and raised her family in Monroe, Virginia. In 1983, she moved to London, Ontario to live with her brother Maurice. Barbara was known for her beautiful cross-stitched pictures, her love of animals, her quick wit and her beautifully generous giving spirit. She left this world listening to the beautiful voice of Mario Lanza of whom she was his biggest fan. The family wishes to thank Virginia Fuentes for her loving care without which we couldn imagine; as well as Hospice of the Piedmont for their remarkable care during her final days. also wish to thank her church at Rockfish Presbyterian in Nellysford, whose love and support carried us all and embodied the true nature of Christs calling. A memorial service will be held on , May 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Rockfish Presbyterian Church, 5016 Rockfish Valley Hwy, Nellysford, Virginia with Dr. Louie V. Andrews, III officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made either to Rockfish Presbyterian Church, your local humane society or Hospice of the Piedmont. Her legacy for us all would be to love your family and your friends with a generous spirit, enjoy good meals and beautiful music, and treat your pets like family. have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick s.
