Obituary: Theres a joyful reunion in Heaven but the Earth is a little bit sadder. Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, LaRae Anderson died peacefully on morning 3, 2017 in South Jordan, Utah. She was 86 years old. LaRae was born and raised in the small coal mining community of Castle Gate, Utah on 28, 1931. She was born to Thomas and Lydia Phillips Bendall. She enjoyed an idyllic childhood with her five siblings, cousins, and friends. LaRae was ambitious. She started working at a young age and always had a job. She worked at various jobs, but was most notably a Quality Inspector at Litton Guidance and Control Systems in Salt Lake City, Utah. She worked there for 32 years. She first met Stanley G. Anderson while they attended Helper Jr. High School. graduating from Carbon High School, Stan and LaRae were married on 30, 1950, and were later sealed in the LDS Manti Temple. moved to Salt Lake City and started their lives together in a one bedroom apartment where their family grew to include four children. It was from that humble beginning that Stan and LaRae worked to earn a down payment on a home in Hunter, Utah. Once in Hunter they had two more children and lived there for 40 years raising their family. LaRae and Stan served a full time mission in Reykjavik, Iceland. completing their mission they returned to Utah and moved to South Jordan. spent their later years serving their family and enjoying their grandchildren. Nothing made LaRae happier than being surrounded by her family, especially the grandchildren. Even at the very end her eyes lit up when the grandchildren arrived. Among her final words were, I hope I was a good mom. Yes Mom, you were the best. We will always love you. Survived by children, David (Carla), Shanna (Bob) Burnside, Christie (Bob) Northrup, Bobbie (Blaine) Raby, Brent (Debbie), Randy (Tami); 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and siblings, Duane, Fae Smith, and Gayle Marrelli. LaRae was preceded in death by her husband, Stan; grandson, Neal; great Grandson, Forest; brothers, Phil and Pat; and close friends, Sue Christensen (cousin) and Bonnie Bendall (sister-in-law). services will be held on , 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Valley View , 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah. A viewing will be held at the same location from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., prior to the funeral services. |

Obituary: Klyda Johnson Anderson 1944-2012 A devoted wife and mother, Klyda Johnson Anderson (68) passed away peacefully on 7, 2012. She was born on 18, 1944 in Moab, Utah and was the second oldest of Lester Arden Johnson and Clara Barton Johnson. She graduated from Grand High School in 1962 and shortly thereafter married her sweetheart, Jon Douglas Anderson. Jon and Klyda were married on 11, 1962 in Delta, Colorado and were later sealed for time and eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Last month they were lucky enough to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary together. Shortly after they were married, Jon and Klyda moved to Tooele where they began their family. lived in several cities within Utah, Colorado, and Idaho, yet settled in Orem where they felt most at home. As they raised their children, Klyda worked with Jon side-by-side in several family businesses including a shuttle service, car dealership, bakery, and trucking company. She always played an integral role in these companies. She was a hard worker and had an innate entrepreneurial spirit. As her kids grew older, she began a successful real estate business. She owned and operated the company, almost entirely, by herself. Those who knew her were amazed at her success in this undertaking. Klyda was a devout member of the LDS church. She held many callings within the Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary. She was happy to serve in whatever capacity she was needed. She enjoyed Visiting Teaching and made temple attendance a regular part of life. She and Jon had a strong desire to serve a mission, although they were not able to do so on earth. Klyda will always be remembered for her generosity, kind heart, infectious smile, and keen eye for a good deal. She had a passion for quilting and her talent was apparent in the beautiful quilts she made. Klyda loved being a mom and a grandma—she was remarkable at both of these callings. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her. In addition to her husband and mother, Klyda is survived by her 9 children: J. Michael Anderson, Teresa Anderson, Lei Lani Anderson, Jennifer Anderson, Lori Anderson, Karalee Anderson, David (Candace) Anderson, Eric (Autumn) Anderson, and Kristen (Robert) Zandi. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren as well as her siblings: sister-in-law Trudy Johnson, Jay (Brenda) Johnson, Colleen (Ron) Smith, Carolyn (Jack) Lund, and Janice Turner. She is preceded in death by her father, brother Larry, and brother-in-law David. services will be held , 13th at 11:00 AM in the Orem 6th Ward Chapel, 365 S. 900 E., Orem, UT.
