Obituary: Mary Odette Boulter Allen To Odette Allen, her children and friends were her rewarding accomplishment in life. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was a guiding banner for her. She loved, taught and raised six children, Betty, Dave, Don, Tom, Sid, and Mary, all of whom were married in the temples of the Lord. Her descendants served over seventy years of missionary service and are still serving. High School, Odette took a year of post high school studies and always wanted to attend college, but the blessings of a family took precedence. Odette promoted her interest in learning, and all of her children accomplished advanced degrees-2 Master Degrees and 4 Bachelor Degrees. Art, music, sewing, and homemaking were also her strength that she passed on to her children and grand children. Odette passed on at Summerfield Manor in Orem, Utah, on May 18, 2006, just four days after celebrating Mothers Day; Gods tribute to his daughters here on Earth. Odette was preceded in death by her husband, Dareld Allen and son, Donald B. Allen. Odette was survived by Betty Ann (Bill) Ward; David William (Lynna); Thomas Reuben (Janette); Sidney Dean (LuAnn), Mary Lucinda (Robert) Adams. She has 136 descendants. Odette said of her descendants, I love them all. I know they aren perfect, but I love them all. Odette was born to Joseph Reuben Boulter and Bertha May Greenough Boulter on 1, 1915 in Pinedale Wyoming. Odette married the love of her life, Dareld Allen in 1935 in Rock Springs, Wyoming. raised their family in Pinedale, Wyoming; Spokane, Washington and Provo, Utah. Throughout her life Odettes friends were a joy to her, she found friends wherever she went. She loved people who were fun and full of life-just as she was. She got great pleasure out of serving all those that she knew. The reward one gets from life is determined by what one gives in life. Odettes loving care and giving nature to her family, friends, and all those she met who were in need of help, mark her success. Her loving spirit will be missed by all. Odettes family express great love and gratitude to the staff at Summerfield Manor and Comfort Hospice for the tender care given to their mother. All friends and family are invited to Odettes viewing in the Walker Sanderson at 646 East 800 North, Orem, Utah on , May 22, 2006, from 6:00 to 8:00pm. And to enjoy her last remembrances at her funeral at the Grandview 2nd Ward, at 1081 West 1060 North in Provo, Utah with a viewing from 9:30 to 10:45 prior to service at the chapel. Interment will be in the Pinedale City , in Pinedale, Wyoming. |

Obituary: Marilyn Murphy Allen May 27, 1924 ~ 14, 2011 Marilyn Murphy Allen passed away peacefully 14, 2011, at her home in Orem, Utah. She was born May 27, 1924, in Salt Lake City, to Frank and Katherine Murphy. As a child, she moved with her family to southern California where she attended several elementary schools, Bret Harte Jr. High, and Glendale High School, where she excelled academically. She started dating Lester Allen, the love of her life, when she was eighteen. Because of World War II they wanted to be married as soon as possible, so they traveled to Arizona where they were sealed in the Mesa Temple, and she gave up her opportunity for college in favor of raising a large family. Marilyn and Les were blessed with eleven children, all of whom are still living: Katie McCarty (Gordon Jennings), Christy (Chuck) Ackerson, Charley (Suzy) Allen, Ben (Monica) Allen, Jane (Joseph) Quinn, Andy (Renae) Allen, Nancy (Bruce) Tregaskis, Barbara Allen, Richard (Jeanne) Allen, Bonnie (Curt) James, and Mark (Kate) Allen. Marilyn is also survived by her three sisters; Donna Baker, Nancy Wilcox, and Sherron Hobbins, 48 grandchildren and 99 great grandchildren. Marilyn was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served enthusiastically in many callings.　She was particularly passionate about the Young Womens program and girl’s camp. Marilyn and Les served missions to London, Mississippi, and Baltimore where they blessed the lives of many. 　　 Marilyn loved to be outdoors, especially if she and Les were fishing, backpacking, camping, snowshoeing, collecting wildflowers and bird watching. She loved making scrapbooks and doll houses, knitting afghans, and reading good books. She also enjoyed doing genealogical research and writing family histories. She loved planning reunions with her sisters, her cousins, and her 212 descendants (a number which grows larger every year.) The family wishes to express gratitude to Lorena and Merry who cared for her so lovingly in her final days; and the many others who helped to care for Marilyn. services will be held , 20, at 11:00 a.m. in the Sharon Park Stake , 85 East 700 North, Orem, Utah. Obituary: Lori JoAnn Allen, age 60 passed away 25, 2016 in Murray, UT. She was born 7, 1955 in Salt Lake City to Orice James and Erma Maxine Patterson Allen. Lori passed away from an infection which was likely the result of the Lymphedema she struggled with for years. She worked at LDS Hospital in food service for 33 years after graduating from West High. Many of the team of doctors and nurses who cared for her at Intermountain Medical remembered her from LDS Hospital. Lori loved butterflies, going to the fair, shopping, going to dinner, and always looked forward to going to the Nutcracker each year. We will dearly miss her at all of our family festivities. She is survived by her Brother, Roger (Shirlene) Allen, 3 nieces, 1 nephew of California. Sister, Judy (Scott) Richardson, 3 nieces of Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by her parents.
