Obituary: Don Taylor Allen Together Again Don Taylor Allen, age 84 died peacefully on , 16, 2014, in Orem, Utah. He was born 27, 1929 in Ogden, Utah to Joseph Taylor Allen and Helen Hamilton Allen. He was a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He graduated from Lincoln High School where he met and later married his sweetheart Carol Stubbs. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Don was raised on a dairy farm in Vineyard, Utah. He told numerous stories of growing up on the farm on the shores of Utah Lake. He continued farming having a successful dairy farm business until of 1975 when he moved to Henry Idaho where he enjoyed ranching and raising cattle. For over 30 years, Don and Carol spent their winters in Overton, Nevada where many friendships were fostered. Don was active in Farm Bureau and Utah Republican Politics. He served on the Board of Directors of Farm Bureau where he and Carol enjoyed traveling on Farm Bureau business for many years. Fishing and hunting were among his favorite hobbies. He spent many enjoyable years fishing in the North West, Idaho, and Nevada. He loved fishing with his family and friends. Don made friends easily. His warm smile invited everyone to be his friend. He loved to talk and tell stories. You always felt comfortable with him because he put everyone at ease. Hunting and fishing stories seemed to get better with each passing year. He was the number one fan of Turner Classic Movie channel and ESPN football and collegiate basketball. Don and Carol were parents of four children: Colleen (Orson Welch, Kent, Washington), Charleen (T. Michael Ford, Orem), Richard (Sharleen Allen, Orem), and Duane (Yvonne Allen, Idaho Falls, Idaho). have 15 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. He is survived by his brother Hal J. Allen and sister Nadine Gillman. The family would like to thank First Choice and Hospice for their tender care. Thank you to Patrick, Jason, Merry and Janeen, who have helped us all through a tender time. A very special thank you to our sweet nurse, Brittany. Services will be , 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Timpanogos Park Fifth Ward Chapel, 990 North 100 West, Orem. Obituary: Clem Crosby Allen Clem and his twin, Cleo, were born on 3, 1921 in Panguitch, UT to John Earl and Beulah Crosby Allen. He died at his home on 14, 2013. Clem married Anna Colleen Beebe on May 10, 1946 in the St. George LDS Temple. are parents of Sherine Allen Miller (Wayne), Carl Bradford Allen (Dantzelle), John Clement Allen (JesAnn), George Leslie Allen (Tamar) and Geniece Allen Wight (Patrick). Clem and Colleen have twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren. Clems siblings: Samuel Earl Allen (deceased) Cleo Allen Henrie (deceased) Rowa Allen Lee (deceased) George Edward Allen, John Whorton Allen and many nieces and nephews. Clem is a US Navy WWII Veteran who served in the battle of Iwo Jima. He flew the US flag daily as a result of watching the US flag being raised at Iwo Jima. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many callings including High Priest Group leader in three different wards. Whenever one of his three sons were in Scouts he made sure he was an assistant Scoutmaster. He served a mission in the Texas San Antonio Mission with his beautiful wife and spoke often of his fond memories of this time in his life. He set a great example of a kind and loving husband and was very selfless in his service to many others. Dad often stated the best day of his life was the day he was sealed to Mom in the St George Temple. Dad was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be missed. Many thanks to Inspiration Hospice for their devoted and loving care. Also to our many friends in the Orem Cherry Hills 6th Ward. Services will be held on , 19, 2013 at 11:00 am at Cherry Hills 6th Ward Chapel, 1650 South 200 East, Orem, UT. Obituary: Carol Colleen Stubbs Allen, 82 died peaceable at her home in Orem, Utah on 23, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She has fought a valiant battle with breast cancer for the past eleven years. She was born 25, 1928 in Provo Utah to Wilford R. and Hannah Pearl Penrod Stubbs. She graduated from Lincoln High School. Carol was a life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She has served in the Primary and Young Womens organizations. She loved music and was always happy to help teach young children the songs about the Savior. She is survived by her beloved companion of 63 years, Don T. Allen of Orem. were married 17, 1947. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple 25, 1949. She is the mother of four children: Colleen (Orson Welch, Kent Washington) Charleen (T. Michael Ford, Orem), Richard (Sharleen Allen, Orem) and Duane (Yvonne Allen, Idaho Falls Idaho). She has 15 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. She is survived by three living sisters: Lorna Bunnell, Donna (Stephen) Bunnell, and Faye (Wes) Kitchen. A brother Stanley P. Stubbs and a sister Erma Madsen preceded her in death. She and her husband, Don reared their family on a dairy farm in Vineyard, Utah. moved to Henry Idaho 35 years ago where they have enjoyed raising cattle on a beautiful ranch. She loved working side by side with our father. Wonderful winters have been spent in Overton, Nevada where friendships have been made with many. She has been happy being back in Orem these past two years, close to family and friends. She was loved by all who knew her. Her quick smile and genuine concern for others will be missed by all.
