Obituary: Billee Jean (King) Arnall was born in Gorman, Texas in 1925. She passed away peacefully in Houston, Texas on , 7, 2014.

When Billee was four years old, her family moved to Stephenville, Texas where she attended public school and then Tarleton State University; she graduated from the University of Texas in 1945. Billee moved to Houston, Texas and was employed by Shell Oil for ten years.

In 1951, Billee married Jack Arnall; he died in 2004. She was a member of Chapelwood United Methodist Church, Bending Oaks Garden Club, the West Houston Art League and the Village Republican Women's Club. Billee and Jack lived in Bunker Hill Village for 47 years and moved to Memorial Terrace Retirement in 2002. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held at a later date in Stephenville, Texas, where Billee will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Jack.

Obituary: William Raymond Jasper, 72, passed away peacefully at home on , 25, 2012. He was born on 20, 1940, in Dallas, Texas, the son of William Dalmont Jasper and Jean Nicholson Jasper. Ray was one of three children. In his early teens, his family moved from Dallas to Ft. Worth and eventually settled in Houston. There he attended St. Thomas High School and St. Thomas University.

Upon earning his Bachelor Degree in Education, Ray was commissioned 2nd LT. U.S. Army Medical Service Corp, beginning a military career that would span twenty-four years. From 1967-68, he served with the 20th Preventive Medicine Unit in Vietnam. While assigned to 5th Army from 1969-1972, he helped develop the medical support portion of the Armys state funeral plan for President Harry S. Truman. At that time, he applied for the Army Bootstrap Program and attended the University of the Incarnate Word to pursue a Master Degree in Secondary Education. completing three years at the Academy of Sciences in San Antonio, Ray was assigned as the S-3 of the 8th Medical Battalion, 8th Infantry Division, at Bad Krueznach, Germany. One of his major accomplishments there was to serve as the operations officer in support of the U.S. contingent of military march teams (750 marchers) in the international marches held in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. returning to the States, Ray had follow-on assignments at Ft. Hood and Ft. Benning. His last assignment was at Ft. Monroe, Virginia, where he retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, in , 1990.

Following his retirement from the military, Ray began a second career as a social studies teacher at Peninsula Catholic High School in Newport News, Virginia, where he taught for six years. In 1996, he relocated to Texas and began teaching at St. Michaels Catholic Academy. There he taught social studies and served as Social Studies Department Chair for nine years. He retired in 2005.

Ray loved family, good friends, and a fine glass of wine. He enjoyed a number of activities, including golf, baseball, and dining out. He was a voracious reader, especially of history. During his retirement years, he enjoyed traveling, researching family genealogy and hanging out with his golden retriever, Hunter.

Ray is survived by his wife, Lori Jasper; sister, Judith Irene LaLonde; children, Jacqueline Jasper Wilkinson, William Raymond Jasper, Jr., Catherine Leah Jasper, and John Hovey Jasper; stepson, Matthew Ryan Dring; seven grandchildren; numerous other relatives; and a host of friends.

The family would like to thank the kind and caring staff at Hospice Austin for providing comfort to Ray during his last few months.

A memorial service celebrating Rays life will be held at 1:00 P.M., , 1, 2012, in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks . Inurnment will follow the service at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park Nature Garden with Military Honors under the auspices of the U.S. Army Honor Guard.

Obituary: James H. Wright, Sergeant Major, U.S. Army (Ret.), 66, of San Antonio, Texas died on 4, 2012, after an illness. Born in Smyrna, Delaware, he grew up largely on farms in the area. He married his wife in Seoul, Korea, with whom he recently celebrated 46 years of marriage. James enlisted in the U.S. Army in search of greater opportunity after graduating from high school. His 27 years of service included tours in Korea, Japan, Georgia, Italy, Virginia and Texas. He was recognized throughout his military career with many awards and medals, including the Legion of Merit, Army Commendation Medal (Third Oak Leaf Cluster), and Army Achievement Medal (First Oak Leaf Cluster). His last assignment was at Ft. Sam Houston, Headquarters, Services Command. He retired in 1991. retirement, he received his B.S. in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University. He worked for the City of San Antonio and then St. Philips for sixteen years where he served as Director of Middle Programs and State Director for Skills USA. At St. Philips, he founded the Women in Non-Traditional Occupations group. James generously and lovingly helped others, eager to teach them lifes lessons. He used stories about his own life to encourage others o do the best they can with what they have, no matter how tough their circumstances. He never sought anything in return. He also inspired others by being creative, original in thought, and his own person. James was very proud of his service to our country, had great faith in God, and loved life and his family most of all. He is survived by his wife, daughter Chun Wright, of Upper Marlboro, MD, son James H. Wright, Jr., of San Antonio, TX, and dog, Cookie. He is also survived by two brothers and four sisters. The family expresses gratitude to Amedisys Hospice for their compassionate care and SAMMC for their excellent medical treatment. Viewing will be held on , 12, from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Porter Loring North. Obituary: SFC ONeal Alphonso Williams, Sr., US Army (Ret), passed away on , May 12, 2013. He was born in Frederiksted, St. Croix, Virgin Islands to wonderful parents, Donald and Eileen Williams. He proudly served and retired from the US Army after 20 years of service. He had a passion for deep sea fishing in his favorite spots, St. Croix and Corpus Christi. ONeal mastered various hobbies ~ woodworking, electronics, carpentry, stained glass, mechanic and gardening. One of his pleasures was the game of darts in which he served as champion of the game at the Pentagon for five years. His life and career were devoted to his family. His wife and children admired him not only as their father, but as a great teacher and inspiration in their lives. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Estalya Hendricks, Mildred Williams and Evelyn Williams. ONeal is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Barbara Williams; children: Rena Williams, Tina Williams, Lena Williams, Otis Williams, Fraizer Williams, ONeal Williams Jr., ONeal Alex Williams, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers: Donald Williams and Wilbur Williams; brother-in-law, Eugene Banks; sisters: Elluise Williams, Eugenie Samuels, Carmen Morell, Areca Williams and Estelle Williams, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on , May 16th beginning at 9:30 AM at Porter Loring on McCullough. SERVICE

Obituary: Robert Bobby Dobbs, Jr., M.D., Col. US Army Ret., of San Antonio, Texas passed away , May 25, 2007 at the age of 75. He was born 1, 1932 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Robert Mays Dobbs, Sr. and Martha Cantrell Dobbs. Robert married Nancy Diane Dame on 9, 1957 in Georgia. In 1958, he graduated from AtlantaÂs Emory University School of Medicine and completed his internship in 1959. From 1961 to 1965, he served his residency in the urology department at Walter Reed Army Medical , Washington, D.C. He enlisted in the US Army on 30, 1957 and retired in 1985 as a Colonel. He was stationed at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma; Brooke Army Medical BAMC in San Antonio where he was Chief of Surgery, Eisenhower Army Medical , Fitzsimmons Army Medical , Ft. Gordon, Republic of Viet Nam in a MASH unit in 1968-69, and two tours in Europe. He earned the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal 2nd Oak Leaf Cluster and 3rd Oak Leak Cluster, Air Medal 1st Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Commendation Medal 1st Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation with Palm and Combat Medical Badge during his service. leaving the Army, he practiced urology at Maricopa Medical , Phoenix, Arizona and returned to San Antonio after retirement in 1994. He moved to the Army Residence Community ARC in 2000 where he was known as ÂDoctor BobbyÂ. He belonged to the ARC Chapel where he served as president of the council, was a deacon and a member of the choir. In 2000, he returned to the staff at BAMC in order to assist with medical studies in conjunction with the National Institute of . As part of those studies, he set up clinics all over San Antonio, usually at churches, where he helped compile information to aid in the research and treatment of prostate cancer in African-American men. Various memberships and organizations he was affiliated with include Alpha Kappa Kappa inducted 1955, Alpha Tau Omega inducted 1951, American Urological Association, South Central Section of the American Urological Association, San Antonio Surgical Association, Society of Government Service Urologists where he received the H.G. Stevenson Award in 2004, San Antonio Urological Society, ARC Kiwanis Club Golden K where he served as president for one year and editor of The Bugle newsletter, and Bexar Medical Dinosaurs. Bobby found great pleasure and enjoyment in his little dog ÂDandyÂ, who preceded him in death. He also received great fulfillment and gratification as a trombone player in high school and college, as a bass singer for the church choir, as well as many fishing trips to exotic locales with his medical buddies, traveling to visit his daughters, and most of all, cheering on his beloved Spurs. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Diane on Nov. 8, 1992. Survivors include his daughters, Cyndi Wright Hutchison and husband Jay of La Grange, Laura May and husband Rick of Ramona, Calif., and Danielle Shamblin and partner Kenny of San Antonio; son, Robert Mays Dobbs III of Pipe Creek; grandchildren, Benjamin Ray Floyd and wife Melissa of Bryan, Taylor and Travis May, and Bobby and Nicky Shamblin. The family will receive friends evening, May 29th from 6 oÂclock to 8 oÂclock at Porter Loring.
