Nació en El Salvador en enero de 1948 y viajó a Houston, Texas en 1983 para construir una mejor vida con su marido, Manuel Argueta. Marta Del Carmen era conocida en su comunidad como una mujer fuerte de fe y como la persona a buscar consejo en tiempos de necesidad. Marta Del Carmen estaba siempre dispuesta a compartir la palabra de Jehová con cualquiera; Esa era una de las cosas por las que estaba profundamente apasionada. No conocía a ningún extraño. Ya sea que fuera una amiga en la iglesia, siendo la Reina de Belleza de Mary Kay, en el supermercado, en la calle durante uno de sus muchos paseos o en sus lugares de trabajo, Marta era el aliento de todo el mundo. Además de ser dedicada a Jehová, Marta Del Carmen estaba totalmente dedicada a su familia. Ella nunca se desvió de tratar de enseñar a su familia lo que estaba bien y mal. Marta Del Carmen era amable, paciente y comprensiva; Todo lo que cualquiera desearía en una madre. No importa en qué situación se encontraba su familia, estaba dispuesta a afrontarlo de frente. Marta Del Carmen era realmente la roca que mantenía a su familia unida, y seguirá siendo así. Fe y familia, es lo que construyó a Marta Del Carmen como un elemento básico en su comunidad y en nuestros corazones. Le sobreviven su marido, Manuel Argueta, el hermano Jorge Armando Reyes, y sus cinco hermosas hijas: Yolanda Reyes, Delmy Reyes, Marta Elena Argueta, Maritza Argueta y Ana Argueta.
