Obituary: Adela Juarez Anzaldua, 77, passed away peacefully , 1st, surrounded by her family into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior. Adela was born on 1, 1937, in Rio Hondo, Texas to Jose and Blasita Juarez. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Adela was preceded in death by her parents, Jose A Juarez and Blasita S. Juarez; and siblings, Ismael S. Juarez, Jesusa Ochoa, Rodolfo S. Juarez, Elidia J. Cortez and Josefina Carrisalez. She is survived by her husband, Roberto R. Anzaldua; Son, Robert Jr. and wife, Priscilla Anzaldua; Daughter, Velma and husband, Rick Arney; Grandchildren, Vanessa, Valerie, Kristopher, Amanda and Brandon Anzaldua, Blair, Cole and Luke Arney; and Great Grandchildren, Zo?, Michael and Aiden Krogsdale; Brothers, Isabel, Narciso and Leonardo Juarez; Sisters, Magdelena Ryan, Eudelia Herrera, Rosita Leal and Antonia Mehaffey. Obituary: Marguerite May Trenton Anz passed away on , 28, 2006 at the age of 90. She is survived by her adoring husband, Bill, her sons, Ronald Anz and wife Sallie, Gerald Anz and wife Caroline, Donald Anz and wife Cheryl, her brothers, LeRoy Trenton and wife Kelly, Patrick Trenton and wife Dottie, and sister, Mary Spencer; numerous nieces and nephews, 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Marguerite was a San Antonio native and an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She was a homemaker until the youngest of her three sons started school, at which time she began teaching Kindergarten at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles School in 1954. She taught there until 1959, when she started the Kindergarten program at St. Pius X Catholic School, where she taught for 20 years. When her husband retired in 1978, she retired also. She touched the lives of many children during her lifetime as a teacher. Marguerite was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was known by her grandchildren as ÂGranny. She was the life of every gathering, and when asked if she was attending a social function, she always replied that sheÂd be there Âwith bells on! She and her husband lived on their ÂAnzÂs Acre in Northridge independently until just one year ago. Marguerite was a bright light on this earth, and she will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. |

Obituary: John C. Anz was born to John Edward Anz and Minnie Schrader Anz on May 15, 1924, in Spur, Dickens , Texas. He was the first of their five children. The Anz family moved to Sweetwater, Texas, in 1936. graduation from Newman High School in Sweetwater, John was inducted into the Navy in 1944. He completed submarine school in New London, Connecticut, in 1945. In 1946, he served on the submarine boat SS406 the USS Sea Poacher receiving the rank of torpedo man's mate third class. He served in active duty during World War II from 29, 1944 to Oct. 30, 1946. On Jan. 9, 1948, he married the love of his life, the former Marieta Joy Williams. For the next several years he worked as Parts Manager for Forester Chevrolet in Sweetwater. In 1968, he and Marieta purchased Auto Parts Co., Inc., 107 Pecan St., Sweetwater. John was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Sweetwater, where he served on the administrative board, and as greeter, usher and various other services. He was also a member of the U.S. Submarine Veterans of World War II. John had a passion for creating wooden crosses to give to friends and family. John and Marieta moved to San Angelo in 2008, where they became members of First United Methodist Church. John was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert Anz and Jack Anz; and his sister, Nettie Imhoff. He is survived by his loving family, wife Marieta Anz, of San Angelo; children Cynthia J. Escue and her husband, Richard, of Port Orange, Florida, and Pam Ward and her husband, Joe, of San Angelo; his grandchildren, Jonathan Escue, David Escue, Michael Ward and Erica Hill and her husband, Mark; his great-grandchildren, Evan Hill and Dylan Hill; his sister, Dorothy Anz Manning, of Lewisville, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a special caregiver, Rosie Perales. The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. , Nov. 13, 2014, at First United Methodist Church in San Angelo with the Rev. Sam Hunnicutt officiating. The family would like to thank Hospice of San Angelo, especially Nancy York, Jennifer Price and Rotary House of Hope.
