Obituary: Rena Merle Anderson, 73 of Corpus Christi, Texas went to be with the Lord 14, 2016. She died at home surrounded by her loving family. Rena was born May 23rd, 1942 in San Antonio, Texas and grew up on a farm in Nixon, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Felton and Lanny Wake. She was the oldest of four siblings and survived by brother Fred and his wife Wanda Wake, brother Glen and his wife Paula Wake and sister Paulette and husband Gary Finch. On 31, 1962 she married Floyd (Andy) Anderson. their first date Floyd told his dad, She is the one. were married 53 years and had two children Karyn Anderson and grandchildren Kyle Jackson and Claire Jackson and daughter Kay Lay and grandchildren Harper Lay and Lyndon Lay. Rena loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart, but her favorite was her white poodle Biscuit. Rena Graduated from Nixon High School in 1960 and was a cheerleader throughout high school. She later went back to school and completed her teaching degree at Corpus Christi State University. A few years later she completed her Masters degree and graduated top of her class. Rena taught school 28 years at CCISD and touched the lives of many children. She went to her students sporting events and she would help students by paying them for chores if they needed financial assistance for furthering their education. Rena was an active member in Community Bible Study and led her bible class at Second Baptist Church. A viewing will be held at Seaside Chapel, 16, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. The Memorial Service will be held 17, 2016 at Second Baptist Church beginning at 11:30 am. The family will make sure Rena is not late. We would like to thank her doctor at M.D. Anderson, Dr. Boosier, and her doctors here, Dr. Rob Webster and Dr. Emile Salloum and the nurses on the third floor at Corpus Christi Medical who touched our hearts with their kindness and compassion. In addition, the hospice nurses at Angel Bright Hospice made a difficult time, so much better. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted to the American Cancer Society, M.D. Anderson or Second Baptist Church building fund. |

Obituary: Raymond Dale Anderson , 68, passed away in Lubbock, Tx 15th, 2013. Ray was born on 1, 1944 in Oakland California at Oak Noll Naval Hospital. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1970 receiving honors as a decorated soldier in Vietnam. He then served his country again in the Army National Guard from 1975-1980. He received multiple prestigious medals and distinguished awards during his times of service. He married the love of his life, Patricia Smith on 27, 1976. He continued his passion for work as a helicopter pilot - flying the United States Geologist into Mt. St Helens during active eruptions in the attempt to capture real life images of the volcano; He also flew the filmography crew for the The Fires of Kuwait on IMAX; and finally the last 21 years with the medical flight crews of Aero and Life Star - helping save lives. He was proceeded in death by his parents Lee and Ruth Cook of Oregon and Joseph Anderson of Oregon. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Anderson of Lubbock; sister Joan and husband Bob Fix of California - family: DeeDee Fernandez (and husband Craig and family of Arizona); Jeannette Fix of California; Lori Darby (and family of California); Pam Kelly of California; Scott Bailey (and wife Jennifer and family of California); Tammy Dearrillagga (and family of California); daughter Lisa and husband Dave Streicher (and family of Oregon); Son Eric and wife Kim Evans (and family) of Oregon; daughter Trish K Evans (and family of Oregon); daughter Diane Reynolds (and family) of Lubbock ; the 14 grandchildren of which 11 are of Oregon and 3 of Lubbock; and 5 great grandchildren of Oregon. He is loved and respected by so many as he continuously touched the lives around him. Memorial services will be held at the Aero helicopter hanger on 19th 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be sent to Raymond D. Anderson Memorial Fund at First United Bank in Lubbock, Tx (Proceeds will be given to the Joe Arrington Cancer to aid others in their fight with Cancer). |

Woodard St., Denison, TX 75020 on , 6, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. with Steve Chambers officiating and assisted by her nephew Robert Belew of Quincy, Ill. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, 5805 Texoma Parkway, Sherman., TX 75090. Rachel was born 26, 1916 in Howe, Texas to Robert and Frona Hollingsworth. She married LeRoy Anderson, Jr. on 30, 1942. She was a school teacher in Denison for 40 years and taught at Central Ward Elementary School and Denison High School. She was a caring and giving person and active in many professional and educational organizations. She was a long time member of the First Christian Church in Denison. She is survived by her son Bob Anderson of Houston, Texas, daughter-in-law Young Anderson of Houston, Texas; sister Roberta Anderson of Corpus Christi, Texas; four grandchildren, Cindy Anderson of Paso Robles, California, Tammy Anderson of Alaska, Kimberly Anderson and Michael Anderson of Houston, Texas and 3 great grandchildren.
