He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 21 years, Heidi Aksamit Allen, his daughter Heather Anne Allen, his brother Michael; and loving nephews, Matthew & Justin Allen and nieces Nikki Pace, Madalyn Scheppers & Gabrielle Stubblefield. Mark was a graduate of the University of North Texas and worked in the Securities Industry. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time in the outdoors. Obituary: Services for Marion David Allen, 78 of Lufkin, will be held at 4:00 p.m. , 22, 2015 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Bro. Horace Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow in Gann . Mr. Allen was born 6, 1937 in Angelina and passed away 20, 2015 at his residence. He was the son of the late Laura (Wilson) Allen and Robert E. Lee Allen. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Gardening was a special gift passed to him from his parents, and was a love he shared with his family. Mr. Allen was a film director at KTRE-TV for over 20 years. He retired from Lufkin Industries after 33 years as an electrical technician . Survivors include his wife, Linda Bentley Allen of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and David Reynolds of Hudson; son and daughter-in-law, David Randy and Linda Henson Allen of Central; daughter, Angela D. Leeber of Dallas; son, Mark Anthony Bentley of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy G. and Tommy Spain of Corrigan; daughter, Angie Dillard of Lufkin; son, Patrick Bentley and special friend, Candy Cox of Lufkin; granddaughters, Lacy Harris, Christie Arciniegas, Miranda Allen, Lauren Leeber, Lindsey Leeber, Kendall Tutt, and Briana Dillard; grandsons, Aaron Allen, Corey Allen, Mason Allen, Case Spain, Michael A. Dillard, Kade Bentley, David Scott Reynolds, Matthew Reynolds, Daniel Reynolds, and Kaegan Dillard; numerous great-grandchildren; and other relatives. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, J. C. Allen and Cleatus Allen; and sister, Bessie Hinson. Pallbearers are David R. Allen, Corey Allen, Mason Allen, Sherman Allen, Ricky Allen and Thomas OQuinn Honorary pallbearers are Patrick Bentley and Mark Bentley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 West Frank Street, Lufkin, TX 75904 or to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research, Church Street Station, P. O. Box 780, New York, NY 10008. The family extends a special thanks to caregiver, Peggy, nurse, Lindsey, Dr. Carlton Lewis, and to Hospice in the Pines for their loving care of Mr. Allen.
