Obituary: Jack Bryant Alexander, 85, of Meadowlakes died 4, 2015 at his home after a long battle with Heart disease. His loving wife, Carolyn was at his side. A Rosary Service was held , 6, 2015 at 7pm in the Evening in the chapel at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 7, 2015 at 10:00 am in the church. Jack was born and raised in Port Arthur, Texas on 15, 1929. In 1951, Jack graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Finance. He served in the Korean Conflict in field artillery. He had 20 years in the Army Reserves, retiring as a Major. He went to work for Gulf Oil in 1964, installing the first IBM Computer at the Port Arthur facility. From 1964-1981, Jacks career with Gulf Oil and Occidental Petroleum took him overseas living and working in Venezuela, Spain, Korea and Peru. In 1981, Jack went to work for the FDIC, retiring from there in 1996. In 1990, Jack met the est thing that ever happened to him. Jack married Carolyn Imming on 19, 1990 in Midland, Texas. Jack was raised at his grandmothers knee a Southern Baptist. attending an ACTS Retreat in of 2003, Jack began his spiritual journey towards the Catholic faith. On 11, 2004, Jack was received into the full communion with the Catholic Church. He spent many, many hours learning the faith and then sharing his knowledge with others in the RCIA program, adult formation and morning bible study. Along with his wife, survivors include his son Michael of Houston, Texas and daughter Kimberly Alexander of Longmont, Colorado. He is also survived by his five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents and brother, Don. Obituary: Idas Ray Alexander, 80, of Rowlett, TX passed away on , 31, 2014 at Medical City of Plano. He was born 11, 1933, and will always be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all that knew and loved him. He was kind man with a big heart who was always willing to help. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law Steve and Anne Alexander, grandchildren Cole and Mia Alexander, and his sister Earlene Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janis Alexander, who he loved so much for his entire life. The Service will be at 10:00 am , 4, 2014 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX 75225. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on , 3, 2014 at Sparkman/Hillcrest. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial , 419 Gilmer St., Sulphur Springs, TX at 1:00 pm on afternoon.
