Obituary: Catherine Lynn Hammerle Addison, a resident of Mesquite, Texas, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 49 on May 27, 2021. She was born on 9, 1971, in Saigon, Vietnam, to Curtis and Vee Hammerle. Catherine lived in Tehran, Iran, and started her education at Golestan School there. She graduated from South Grand Prairie High School and attended both Mountain View and the University of Texas at Arlington. Catherine served in the U. S. Army National Guard and was employed by the Dallas Family Courts for eighteen years. Catherine is survived by: her husband, Aaron Addison; her daughter, Alexis Addison; her parents; her brother, Bryan Hammerle; and countless friends throughout the Metroplex area. Obituary: Services for Wendell C. Addington, 82, of Lufkin, will be held at 10:00 a.m. , May 28, 2015 in the Gipson Chapel with Bro. Blackie Cranford officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse . Mr. Addington was born May 6, 1933, the son of the late Naomi (Collingsworth) and Howard B. Addington. He passed away , May 22, 2015. He was born in Celeste, Texas and graduated high school in Greenville, Texas. He served his country in the United States Army from May 12, 1953 to 19, 1955. He met the love of his life, Nell Sikes, and they were married on 6, 1957. He worked at Convair in Ft. Worth working on B-52 bombers and Walker McDonald in Greenville, Texas. He moved to Lufkin in 1962 and worked for Lufkin Industries as a security guard. He loved his family and enjoyed going to the Lufkin Panther games with his buddies, A. D. and Tommy. He also enjoyed going to Southern Gospel singings and reading, especially his Bible. He was a member of Chestnut Drive Baptist Church, and was formerly a member of the Nazarene Church for 70 years. Mr. Addington was also a member of RSVP (Retired Seniors Volunteers Program, President for 20 years; Angelina Senior Citizens Board for 10 years or more; Salvation Army Adult Day Volunteer for 15 years; RSVP Advisory Council for 6 years; Angelina Representative for RSVP Council; went to Austin for Silver Haired Legislature for 2 years; and retired from Lufkin Industries in 1998 after 18 years. Survivors include his wife, Nell Addington of Lufkin; son, Charles Addington of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Jerry Bryan of Lufkin; daughter, Lorrie Addington of Lufkin; grandchild, Brady Addington; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, A. D. Courtney and Tommy Hopson. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be Patrick Richards, Robert Adams, Jimmy Carnes, Doyle Scott, Gerald Forsythe, and Don Wayne Crager. Honorary pallbearesr will be Joe Havard, Richard Montague and Joey Cranford. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. evening at Gipson . Obituary: THERESA JEAN ADDINGTON JULY 14, 1960 - OCTOBER 21, 2014 Beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, Theresa Jean Addington, age 54, passed away on , 21, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas after living with the daily challenges of cancer for nearly six years. Theresa was born to James Eugene and Marjorie Mary Mangan on 14, 1960 in Long Beach, California. She was the youngest of nine children and was dearly loved by her siblings. Theresa had wonderful memories of her childhood with her brothers, sisters, and parents. She cherished these moments with every family member and often shared stories with her children and husband. She will be dearly missed by her family. Theresa was devoted to her children. She enjoyed spending time with them, assisting them, and watching their progress. were her primary focus in life. She persevered through regular chemo regimens and clinical trials to the amazement of all who knew her in the hope of raising her children to a more, self-sufficient age, as her youngest was eight at the time of her diagnosis. kept her going and she was grateful for the time to see them grow. Theresa had a deep desire to be part of her community and to serve others. As a young adult, she worked with a nonprofit that successfully lobbied the legislature to outlaw cigarette machines in public places within California. In San Antonio, she worked to find funding for the Good Samaritan , a full service community center serving low income families. Upon moving to San Antonio, Theresa and her family joined the First Unitarian Universalist Church. Theresa and Jeff grew to love their church community, raising their children there from a young age. The family attended classes, facilitated groups, assisted friends, cooked for church lunches, celebrated births, attended friends weddings, and grieved deaths as members for 13 years. And now, the church community, with loving hands, supports Theresa in her end of life process and memorial service. Theresa felt very grateful to find Keystone School for her childrens education. It has been a loving, supportive environment that encourages creativity, freedom of thought, and educational achievement. Keystones parents and faculty have been a wonderful support to the family during Theresas passing. Jeff says that Theresa was a bright light in his life. He found her very attractive, smart, funny, honest, and unassuming. She had beautiful energy and her presence could turn his attitude around. Jeff feels grateful to have found her. Her passing has created an empty space in his life and his familys life that will take time to accept. Theresa loved her friends, Kim Wall, Tess Bobo, Robin Brozozowski, Timori Lawrence, Mary Brady, Sandy Robinson, Carrie Partridge during her life in California and San Antonio. She enjoyed her friendships, gaining support and strength from them. She was grateful for these wonderful, long term relationships. Theresa is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Mangan.
