Obituary: ALLEN, RONALD R. SR. (RON) age 77 of Knoxville passed away 10, 2011 at Ft. Sanders due to complications from surgery. Graduated from Rule High School and the University of Tennessee. Member of Broadway Baptist Church. Preceded in death by mother, Glenna B. Smith; father, John Rogers Allen and son, Ron Allen, Jr. Survived by wife of 58 years, Flora S. Allen; son, Richard Allen; daughter, Jennifer Allen; sister and brother-in-law, Bettie and Jim Bird; several special nieces and nephews. Ron was a rare book dealer and well known local historian who composed nearly 30 books, many of which detailed Knoxvilles history, memories, and events. He was a member of East Tennessee Historical Society, The Tennessee Society, an avid contributor and supporter of the UTK libraries, past President of Northside Kiwanis Club, and well know local golfer. Retired from JE Lutz after 40 years of service. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm at Weavers Chapel with the service to follow at 7 pm. Rev. Carl Oaks officiating. Obituary: Robert L. Allen Sr., 86, of East Ridge, passed away on , 7, 2017 in Florida. He was born in Chattanooga on 8, 1930 to John W. Allen and Amye Iona Smith Allen. He graduated from Central High School, Class of 1948 and was a longtime employee of the Chattanooga Times Free Press. He was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and recently Grace Bible Church in Chattanooga. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Eloise Crytz Allen, his parents, John W. Allen and Amye Iona Smith Allen, and by two brothers, Charlie Allen and David Allen. Survivors are three brothers, John Allen of Chickamauga, GA; Richard Allen of Stockton, CA; and Jeff Allen of Cleveland, TN; four children, Robert L. Allen, Jr. of East Ridge; William Kyle Allen, East Ridge; Katy Howard, Tampa, FL.; Paul Crytz Allen, Ringgold; as well as 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on , 29, at the funeral home. Obituary: Robert Franklin Allen of Hendersonville TN died May 13, 2015 in Alive Hospice at the Skyline Madison Campus. Mr Allen was preceded in death by his wife, Janie C Allen; daughter, Stephanie; parents, Johnnie and Zemmer Allen; and brother, Roy Allen. Mr Allen (aka Daddy and Pap) is survived by son, Michael (Michele) Allen; daughter, Michelle (Dennis) Coggin and daughter, Carol Ann (Eddie) Jackson; grandchildren, Matthew, Corey, Erica, Zachary and Brandon; wife, ; brothers, Johnnie (Linda) Allen, Willard (Margie) Allen; sister, Barbara (Jerry) Baggett and sister in law, Ivarene Allen. Also numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, long time neighbors and friends, and his loyal pet companion, Rascal. Mr Allen was a graduate of DuPont High School and worked for DuPont in Old Hickory for 25 years and was a lifetime member of the Old Hickory Bunch. Visitation for Mr Allen will be May 15 2015 from 5-8 pmat Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens on Dickerson Road and again on from 12-2. services begin at 2 pm. Honorary Pallbearers are Dennis Coggin, Eddie Jackson, Matthew Allen, Corey Allen, Zachary Coggin and Brandon Jackson. Mr Allen's family would like to thank Alive Hospice at the Skyline Madison Campus especially Gina Wheeley and Christine Blackwood for the wonderful care they took of Mr Allen and family. will remember their kindness and compassion for years to come as the sadness of the death of their loved one begins to fade.
