Obituary: LeRoy George Albers was born on 10, 1925, in Tecumseh, Nebraska to Adolph and Eula Albers. He entered into heaven on May 12, 2015, at the age of 90. He was the second child of four children, Betty, Lila and Herbert. He attended school in May, Oklahoma. He achieved the level of Eagle Scout in The Boy Scouts of America. LeRoy also played basketball and would ride his horse five miles to town to play. high school, he served in the U.S. Army as a Sgt. and was stationed in Manila, Philippine Islands. his military service he came back to Minco, Oklahoma, and was a truck driver for several years. He met and married the love of his life, Juanita Chappell. spent one year in Minco, Oklahoma, then moved to Midwest City in 1951. LeRoy worked at Tinker Air Force Base and retired after 37 years of service. He faithfully donated blood for many years. LeRoy and Juanita were charter members of Country Estates Baptist Church in Midwest City, Oklahoma, and made it their church home. He was a deacon and served as an usher, greeter and School teacher. Together, they enjoyed traveling and spending time with their friends and family. He especially enjoyed summer trips to Whitewater and Red Rock Canyon with his grandsons. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Lila Clark, and his brother Herbert Albers. He is survived by his wife, Juanita, his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Paula Albers, daughter, Pam Hargis, his grandsons, Brandon Albers, Erin Albers and wife Marisa, Mitch Hargis and wife Leigh, and Nick Hargis, his three great-grandchildren, Torin Albers, McKenzie Albers, and Jonah Hargis, his sister Betty Burgess, brother-in-law, Jim Clark and numerous nieces and nephews. services will be held , May 15th at 2:00 p.m. at Country Estates Baptist Church, Midwest City, Oklahoma, with burial at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers please donate to the CEBC Building Fund or Maintenance Fund.

Obituary: Juanita Thelma (Chappell) Albers was born 22, 1926 in Minco, OK to Susie H. (Kirkpatrick) and William R. Chappell. She entered into heaven on 12, 2016, where she was reunited with her husband of 65 years.

She was the youngest of 5 children, Clarence, Garland, Hazel and Helen. All preceded her in death. She was born and raised on a farm west of Minco, attended grade school at Hazel Del School, and attended Minco High School from which she graduated in 1944. She attended college at Central State in Edmond during two summers, receiving a War Emergency Certificate, which allowed her to teach school for two years. She then worked in a grocery store in Minco as a cashier.

She married the love of her life, LeRoy Albers on 16, 1950. moved to Midwest City in , 1951, so LeRoy could be closer to his work at Tinker Air Force Base. Juanita later worked at Tinker for 16½ years. LeRoy and Juanita were charter members of Country Estates Baptist Church of Midwest City. Juanita loved and was devoted to God, her family and her church. She served 46 years as director of 4 year olds in the pre-school school department. She loved the children, their parents and the faithful teachers who worked with her. Together, LeRoy and Juanita enjoyed traveling and spending time with their friends and family.

were blessed with and are survived by two children, son, Mike Albers and wife Paula of Midwest City and daughter, Pam Hargis of Edmond. Four grandsons, Brandon Albers, Erin Albers and wife Marisa, Mitch Hargis and wife Leigh, and Nick Hargis. Three great grandchildren, Torin and McKenzie Albers and Jonah Hargis She is also survived by sister-in-law, Betty Burgess, brother-in-law, Jim Clark and by many nieces and nephews which were dear to her heart.

Obituary: Donald Dean Albers, 92, a long-time resident of Oklahoma City, died on 14, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Leah Mignon Putty Albers; his children: daughter Leah Albers and husband Tom Roberts of Albuquerque, NM; son Paul W. Albers and wife Leigh Ann Albers of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter Dede Albers of Arlington, MA; and daughter Sue Ann Lawrence and husband Bart Lawrence of Ipswich MA; and his five adored grandchildren Brian Lawrence, Kara Lawrence Taylor who married Zachary Scott Taylor this past , Leah and Kate Henoch, and Donald B. Albers. He is also survived by his sister Betty Hicks of Rapid City, South Dakota.

Don was born in Presho, South Dakota on 7, 1918 to Frank and Hilda Albers. He grew up in Presho and graduated from Presho high school in 1936, in a class of 16. He attended Dakota Wesleyan for three years as a pre-med student, and began medical studies at Northwestern University in Chicago in 1939. He graduated from Northwestern in 1943 as a Doctor of Medicine, and also with a masters degree in physiology that same year. He was in the Naval Reserve in medical school and commissioned upon graduation. He did his internship in the Navy and served in the Navy for the remainder of World War II. He was a medical officer with the Second Marine Division on Saipan, Okinawa, and Nagasaki, shortly after the atomic bomb was dropped on that city. While on a short assignment in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1944, Don met his future wife and life partner, Leah Mignon Putty. married on 12, 1946. From 1947 to 1950 the couple lived in Rochester, Minnesota while Don completed a residency in urology at the Mayo Clinic. He also earned a masters degree in urology in 1950. Two of their children were born at Mayo, Leah in 1948 and Paul in 1950. The family moved to Oklahoma City in 1950 where Don practiced urology with the Oklahoma City Clinic for 36 years. Their daughters Dede and Sue were born in Oklahoma City in 1953 and 1955.

During Dons long and distinguished medical career, he was a busy clinician, and a clinical professor with the OU Medical School. Over the years, he trained many residents in the urology specialty. He conducted research, wrote numerous articles in his field, presented papers at professional meetings, and served in leadership roles in regional and national urology organizations. He tried retirement for six months in 1986, but went back to work as medical director of the Oklahoma Lithotripsy , a position that extended nearly 10 years. In 2007, an Endowed Chair in Urology was established in his name at the OU of Medicine.

Don was a loyal and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He had many life-long friends. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and sharp wit, his kind nature, his intellectual curiosity, and the example he set for his children and grandchildren of being committed to things beyond himself. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on , 20, 2010 at Crown Heights Christian Church. Should friends desire, contributions may be made in memory of Dr. Donald D.
