Obituary: William H. Bill Autry, 88, of Fayetteville died , 7th in his home. Mr. Autry was born in Fayetteville on 29th 1928 to the late William Allen Autry and Lundy Harrelson Autry. Upon graduating high school he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and proudly served his country for 27 years. He was a veteran of the both the Korean and Vietnam wars. retirement he earned his Associate Degree in Business Administration from Fayetteville Tech. He worked as a sales associate for Stewart Oldsmobile for 14 years and enjoyed his second retirement spending the rest of his life with his wife Dorothy. In addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by his wife Dorothy, his brother Floyd and sister Luina. He had many years of enjoyment attending Hope Mills United Methodist Church. He also loved playing his guitars and mandolins, tending to his garden, and his two beloved dogs Tad and Boo. He is survived by a son William H. Autry Jr. and wife Micha, daughter Deborah Stocum, daughter Wanda Ulrich and husband George, a sister Lillian Cook, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends and visitors , 15th from 6 pm to 8 pm at Reeves , Hope Mills NC. services will be at Reeves Chapel on 16th at 1 pm with the Rev. Dr. Bob Kretzu of Hope Mills United Methodist Church presiding. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey St. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hope Mills United Methodist Church, 4955 Legion Rd, Hope Mills NC 28348 or the ASPCA, PO box 96929, Washington DC 20090. |

Obituary: Waymon H. Buddy Autry, 74 of Greensboro, went home to be with his Lord 24, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn Alley Autry, two sons Kevin Gene Autry, and Waymon H. Wayne Autry, Jr. and wife Vicki, one daughter Verona C. Snuggs and husband Chuck. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Kevin Gene Autry, Jr. and wife Katie, Gabriel Autry, Geena Autry, Emma Jewel Autry, Chandler Snuggs, and Kayla Snuggs. He is preceded in death by his father George Autry and mother Mannie Autry of Roseboro, NC, and a sister, Joyce Callicutt Dorsett. His surviving sisters are Janie Canady and husband Elbert of Clinton, NC, Treva Johnson of Roseboro, NC, and Betty Carter and husband Larry of Clinton, NC. Buddy had a successful career in banking for over forty years. He was Vice President of First Union Bank, currently known as Wells Fargo Bank. In 1991, he incorporated Omega Mortgage Corporation. He owned and operated Omega until 2006. He attended Shannon Hills Chapel in Greensboro where he served as treasurer for several years and loved the Christians there. He favored the work of Mountain Top Youth Camp (MTYC) in Pinnacle, NC. He served on various boards and committees in the banking industry, his community, and his childrens schools. His greatest enjoyment in life was fishing at the coast with his sister Betty and brother-in-law Larry. Visitation will begin at 2:30pm and a funeral service will follow at 3:30pm , 26, 2015 at Shannon Hills Chapel located at 900 W. Vandalia Road, Greensboro, NC 27406.
