AFTER HIS SERVICE HE ATTENDED JOHNS HOPKINS IN BALTIMORE AND RECEIVED A DEGREE IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEEERING. HE JOINED WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC IN MARYLAND AND RETIRED THERE AFTER 17 YEARS. Obituary: Robert Lee Anderson, 81, of Connelly Springs, passed away 24, 2015 at Catawba Regional Hospice following a brief illness. Mr. Anderson was born on 13, 1933 in Catawba to the late William Harvey Anderson and Flossie Lindsay Anderson. He was a retired truck driver with Dana Corporation, and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, Edgar Anderson and Elbert Anderson; and a grandson, Justin Dale Anderson. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Lowman Anderson of the home; three children, Joey Lee Anderson of Hickory, Dale Robert Anderson and wife Lesa of Hickory, and Tony Allen Anderson of Hickory; three grandchildren, Holly Anderson Lowman and husband Nathan, John Anderson and wife Dana, and Julia Anderson Ross and husband Jim; one great-grandchild, Charlotte Ross; and one surviving sister, Louise Bean of Lenoir. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. 28, 2015 in the Chapel of Heritage Service in Valdese with Rev. Dale Faulkenbury officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview in Hickory. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Heritage Service in Valdese. Obituary: Mr. Rex Glenn Anderson, 80, of Valdese, passed away on , 6, 2017 at Carolinas Medical -Charlotte. Rex was born on 14, 1937 in Grayson , VA to the late Noah Glenn Anderson and Lillie Ruth Anderson. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Valdese, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was retired from Broughton Hospital. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Michael Causby. Survivors include wife of 55 years, Charlean Putnam Anderson of the home, one daughter, Denise Kincaid and husband Joe Pigg of Lenoir, a daughter in-law, Daphna Causby, one brother, Ray Anderson and two sisters, Lila Rutherford and Kate Martin.
