Obituary: MARIANO M. ALDEA - a long battle with cancer, Mariano Manalo Aldea died on May 9, 2015 in Queens, New York at the age of 85. Mariano M. Aldea is survived by his wife, Teofila Aldea, his children; Renato Aldea, Titus Aldea, Rosarito Zabala, Maria Anacleta Barcelona, Ma. Lourdes Jurado, 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He also leaves behind 3 siblings; Gloria Castillo, Juanito Aldea, and Leonardo Aldea. Mariano was born on 15, 1929 in Batangas City, Philippines to father Inocencio Aldea and mother Marta Aldea. He was raised by Pelagia M. Banuelos. He grew up with an extremely large family of 11 siblings. He had attended elementary school in Batangas, High School in Far Eastern University, and graduated with his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the University of Sto. Thomas. Mariano met the love of his life when he was in college. 5 years of courting and countless visits to his honey's house, they finally sealed the deal and had gotten married. raised their five kids in Tiaong, Quezon for 15 years, then they moved to Sampaloc, Manila so that their children could take advantage of the colleges that surrounded the area. Mariano lived his life for his children. His accomplishments were his children's accomplishments. He worked rigorously so that his four children attended and graduated from college. Mariano also lived a joyful life. As he is known to all he meets, as the man who always has a smile, always joked with others, and was the life of any party by dancing and singing. Some of his many hobbies included gardening, majong, and was a superb chess player. Mariano wished to be cremated and have his ashes brought to the Philippines. Visitation will be held on , May 14, 2015 and , May 15, 2015 from 2-5pm & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on , May 16, 2015 at 9:45am at St. Kevin R.C. Church, 45-21 194th Street, Flushing, New York 11358, followed by a chapel service at Fresh Pond Crematory, 61-40 Mt.
