Obituary: o Tito Delos Reyes y Atienza 26 1926 - 21 2010 Son of Teodoro and Carmen Atienza, the youngest of seven children, born in Corregidor, Philippines. Enlisted in the US Navy in 1946. Served aboard various surface ships throughout a proud Navy career, but his true love was serving aboard submarines. Retired in 1971 as a Petty Officer First Class. Worked for Lockheed Missiles & Space Co. from 1980 to 1993. Lifetime Member of Free and Accepted Masons , Cavite Lodge #2, Cavite, Philippines, raised on Feb. 27,1961. In 1980 Affiliated with Great Lights Masonic Lodge, Sunnyvale, CA. He attained the Scottish Rite 32nd degree on May 14, 1988 and joined the Shriners on 3, 1988 in San Francisco, CA. On 21 , he passed away at the age of 83 in Palo Alto, CA. A resident of the Golden State since 1978, he is survived by his loving wife Norma, his devoted children Jean, Nina, and o Jr. (Chito), his ten grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. He will be dearly missed and reverently remembered always. On , 28 2010 a viewing will be held from 5-9 pm. On , 29 2010 viewing will be held from 9am - 9pm, with a recitation of the Rosary at 7pm. Obituary: Robert Leland Athey, a native son of Kings , 91, passed away on 2, 2012 in , California after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers. He was born on 19, 1920 to Clyde Raymond Athey and Georgia Orene (Smith) Athey in Armona, California. Robert was born in the home that he later spent many of his growing up years in and returned to after his retirement. He graduated from High School with the class of 1938, went on and studied at Visalia Junior and at Santa Barbara as well as many other studies and courses. He proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1942 and served his country in World War II, (the Pacific Front), The Korean War, The Cuban Missile Crisis and Vietnam War time with various duty stations. Robert was recalled in the Marines, Retread, for the Korean War after being out for 5 years where at the time he worked as a purchasing agent for Crockett and Gambogie Farms. He retired from the military in 1969 as one of the top two Senior Enlisted Marines as a Master Gunnery Sergeant. His next tour of duty was to return to resettle in Kings as a Systems and Procedures Analyst and Project Manager for Tulare . Robert was a gifted man. He could figure out anything, whether it was a deep intellectual issue or fixing anything that was broken. Robert was a true patriot who loved his country. He was a visionary who always tried to better things wherever he was. He spear headed and worked tirelessly to improve and incorporate the town he loved, Armona, and was active in Armona Lions Club and Senior for many years. He became an accomplished writer, with publishing of three books. He was an avid genealogist and knowledgeable local historian. He leaves with an over flowing love for his family and his wife, Nadine Lavina Todd Athey, his son Skip, James Craig Athey of , California and daughter Robin Elaine Athey Graves of Littleton, Colorado, 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Sandra Lynn Athey Davis and son Lonnie Stephen Nicholson Athey. Robert designed a genealogy program, Gone but not Forgotten, (3 Volumes Kings Records, 1860-1995), Robert Athey will never be forgotten\ A Visitation will be held on , 5, 2012 from 6:00 \ 8:00 p.m. at Chapel; 501 N.
