Obituary: Seawright Wilbur Anderson, MD Dr. Seawright Wilbur Anderson died 4, 2014, in Laguna Niguel, CA. He was born in Washington DC on 6, 1927 to Seawright W. and Iola Ward Anderson. Seawright was a scholar student and graduate of Howard University, internship at USC-LA General and residency at Camarillo State Hospital in coordination with University of California at Los Angeles. He received his Board Certification as well. Dr. Anderson has taught medicine and directed clinics in several countries including Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Zambia. Aside from living in those countries for periods of time he gave back to health of African countries through physician group travels. Dr. Anderson has resided in Orange and Los Angeles California where he had an adult and forensic medical practice, including specialized psychiatric services in (California-Riverside , Medical Director of several Skilled Facilities and served as a special consultant to the Anderson Information Systems practice). Dr. Anderson has most recently resided in Laguna Niguel, California and at the Anderson farm and Washington D.C. domicile. He was a Major in the US Army. Dr. Anderson besides being an interesting and intelligent individual was God fearing and cared about God and his religious beliefs. He attended churches around the world. Dr. Anderson often recalled to his wife, the night he and Rhonda were in Kaduna, Nigeria and they went to Mass in an old, gorgeous church and outside on the grounds were many people sleeping from the village; some were his patients who came up to him to greet him in a African Chief –like tradition. He could talk for hours about his upbringing we were told; his many hobbies which are too numerous to mention but one was hunting in Arkansas at dove season. He always said every one stayed away from him as he was kinda loose with the shots. For those who knew him knows he had many hobbies; just some of those hobbies were trains not just any train but LGBs and all the gadgets that went with them. He made his own shell loading, had the best roller skates in Orange where he lived and whipped by everyone on the street. No he wasn 16 but about 55 or 60 yrs old in those days; scuba dived and snorkeled but never very well, camera, oh! my goodness did he have the special cameras, a hammock on the back porch of the farm, his four wheeler that the McDonald boys grew up on and can you believe it still runs! Lest not forget all he gave to others around the world in Africa teaching , taking care of patients, in Orange providing psychiatric services and even some times giving patients money to get home on the bus, etc. He was a kind and interesting man, introverted at times but when there was a subject of interest he would leave everyone spell bound. He was a believer in our savior and the afterlife;was religious in a quiet and serene way. He belonged to the Diocese in LA and contribute many hours of counseling for them in the past. Dr. A as he was called by his office staff was loved by all. Dr. A as his office staff called him was an adult and forensic psychiatric who saw many interesting cases aside from his office; spent much of his work life in the offices, courts testifying, in the classroom and clinics. He always found time for the love of his life, Rhonda. He adored his 3 children, Carolyn, Sylvia, of California and Wilbur of Baltimore Maryland. He has 3 grandchildren, Antone and Joshua of Washington D.C. Khaleelah Wagner, and one great grandchild Khalahni he little one as he would refer to her from California. Dr. A was a devoted husband to Rhonda; they traveled the world and lived a fairy tale marriage of wonderful proportions. There is a lot that could be said but just remember everyone, Dr. A. enjoyed life; especially loved his farm in Arkansas and his special homeplace in Washington D.C. While he made his home and living in California he was eager to go to the homes as often as possible. Dr. Anderson was always willing to help out anyone in need as I mentioned and devoted many hours all over the world to teaching, taking care of patents. Dr.A. was always intrigued with Willies farm operation and rides on the four wheeler or other transport. He adored, wife Donna, and friend Mary Gregory who even in his most bashful moment they would get him out of his shell. Graveside Service will be at 11:00 a.m. , 9, 2014, at Nixon in Charleston, with Rev. Chuck Coffelt officiating, under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston, AR. Dr. Anderson was survived by his wife of 38 years, Rhonda McGee Anderson,_two daughters, Carolyn Anderson of Los Angeles, Sylvia Anderson of CastroValley, California and one son Seawright Wilbur Anderson, III from Baltimore, Maryland, three grandchildren, Anton and Joshua Anderson of Washington, D.C. Khaleelah Horton of Riverside, California, one great-grandaughter, Khalahni Horton. Pall Bearers will be P.D. Gramlich, Hayden, Mason, Joel and Willie McDonald and Fred Ernst.
