Obituary: Oh, wow! As I sit at the Hidden Valley Campground with my goats & dogs, a few possessions & paperwork, I contemplate how good God is as he spared Bruce this high adventure of being evacuated (1:00A.M.) due to wildfires too close to our home, a first! What better time than to share Bruce A. Andersons life story. He was born 68 years ago to Verna & Carl Anderson and has one older brother & four sisters and would tell pretty good tales of their growing up. Like only having one TV in a Montana town with only one station & all the neighbors would come over & watch it or the big hill theyd slide down on the sleds crossing a busy street at the end. And his dare devil life never changed. His first wife Sandra & he had four children, Carl, , Sonya, & Bruce Wayne and even though the marriage wasn for life, their relationship was. He was always there for his children and helped Sandra out throughout her lifetime. He met wife number 2 but that only lasted a couple of years. It was important though in his life as through her, he met his best friend/brother for life, Chuck; Lisa, his third wife to be; Sam & Sharon, & later me, to make our own family circle. Lisa & I met in South Dakota as VISTAS and when Bruce and & Lisa decided to get hitched, he came and took her back to California, leaving me, Sharon and Sam with baby Roger. Sam, Sharon & baby Roger soon after moved back to California. I went back to California for Bruce & Lisas wedding and met Chuck. Jim & Nona were there too as witnesses. The following year, Chuck and I married. Bruce & Lisa had Jara in Sonoma & Bruces 4 children would visit often. Later, they moved to Lake where Bruce built their home in Coons Flat Valley with occasionally Chucks help. When Roger was seven, we lost a member of our family circle, his Father, Sam. Both Chuck and Bruce took over until Sharon married Jon, another friend of our circle. 20 years, Lisa, always loving Bruce, decided to leave and Chuck became terminally ill. Separately, Bruce & Lisa stood by his and my side as we watched in horror at what the rages of cancer did to Chuck. Chuck, wanting to take care of both me and his bro, willed me to Bruce upon his death. Later on, Bruce & I were married and enjoyed 15 years on the farm. Bruce was a loyal Local 510 Union member. He started as a sign painter, telling us, ya never step back to admire your work when doing a billboard on a scaffold! Later, he became a Journeyman for the Trade shows mostly held in San Francisco, always there to train the high guys(ones who used the scissor lifts to hang convention signs) & did it all. When he retired, he was called one of the dinosaurs as hed been working shows for so long. He enjoyed his life, was his own man, & helped those in need. He leaves behind his loving wife, Glo, former loving wife Lisa, our children: Carl, , Sonya (Glen), Bruce Wayne & Jara (Jim); our grandchildren, Heather (Jeremy), Renee, Ben, Jason, Nicole, Zachary, Bruce Jr., Brittany, Gibson, Katalina, & Buddy, and our five Great- Grandchildren, Serenity, Teresa, Erica, Bentlie, & Raelynne. He also leaves his loving siblings, Bill, Lynette, Sarita, Dawn & Jackie; many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, their children, Aunt Doris & lots of friends & good neighbors. Bruce will be surely missed! So as the fire that is said to have been set as four different fires erupted in close proximity continues to grow (8500 acres now), I thank God for all the neighbors, friends & family who have helped me so much through actions & prayers. Bruce had a wonderful life & is at peace. And as my Aunt says, Don sweat the small stuff, lifes too short. And Sharons favorite, Have no guilt, have no regrets, you did your best!. Obituary: Bonnie Lea Anderson was entered into rest on May 5, 2015 in Gilroy, CA. She passed at the age of 60. Bonnie was born on 16, 1954 in Whitefish, Montana to the late parents of Alvan Lorn Larter Sr. and Veda Iona Larter-Engerbretson. Ms. Anderson moved from Whitefish, Montana to California in the early 1970's. She attended college for nursing and completed 2 years. Bonnie married the late Robert Lee Anderson in Carson City, Nevada on 10, 1981. Robert and Bonnie had their own upholstery business called " Du-All Upholstery ", which they conducted from their home. In the mid 1990's Bonnie began working for the newspaper company, USA Today. Ms. Anderson was very dedicated and harding working, she worked for USA Today for over 10 years. In her later years she also worked as a caregiver in Santa Clara where she tended to ill and elderly people. In between working Bonnie also cared for her grandchildren and of course her two daughters. Bonnie was a strong, loving, compassionate, friendly and entertaining person. She always had a positive, uplifting attitude followed by a smile on her face, even on a bad day she was able to find the good in it and continue to stay strong. She is the true definition of a fighter. Ms. Anderson was an open and easy person to talk to, she was consistently willing to listen to anyone and be as best of support as she could. Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and baking; she made everything from scratch. Even when Ms. Anderson was unable to still cook or bake she continued to write down recipes for herself and to share with others. Her specialties were her spinach dip, potato salad and her cherry cheesecake who none will forget. She also enjoyed gardening and maintaining to her small plants. As many know Bonnie loved to joke around, she was quick to make everyone laugh and was a great person to be around. No matter the circumstance Bonnie was constantly giving unconditional love to those around her, she was definitely an unforgettable person. There was not a day that went by where Bonnie did not bring joy to her family and friends around her. Ms. Anderson is preceded in death in by her younger brother Ordean Engerbretson. She is survived by her oldest daughter Ameerah Maldonado of Gilroy, CA and her youngest daughter Paula Lomax of Sacramento, CA. Bonnie is also survived by seven grandchildren Gregory Anderson and Marcus Anderson, of San Jose, CA; Kiara De La Rosa of Gilroy, CA; Enrique Sanchez Jr. and Robert Sanchez of San Jose, CA; and Jasmine Anderson-Lomax and Azalya Anderson-Lomax of Sacramento, CA. She also leaves behind her brother Alvan Lorn Larter Jr. of Minnesota; her aunt Pearl Williams of Rohnert Park,CA; her son in law Christopher Maldonado of Gilroy, CA; her brother in law Napolin Anderson and sister in law Dorthy Anderson of Las Vegas, Nevada; Edna Mae Crenshaw of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In addition she leaves behind nieces, nephews, several cousins and friends. Ms. Anderson was truly a blessing to everyone who crossed her path , she is loved and will be missed by many. An extended thanks to Cindy and Raymond Ochoa , Joann Clark, Michael and Tina Harper, and Claudia Graciano. Visitation will be held on May 12th 5:00-8:30pm at Lima Family Erickson, 710 Willow St., San Jose. The funeral Service will be held on May 13th at Lima Family Erickson with a burial to follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA. |
