Obituary: HUBBARDSTON - Robert E. Ahola, 66, passed away peacefully at home , 3, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Ann Marie Ahola; his children, Jessica Ebert and her husband, Jon Ebert, of Hubbardston, and Suzanne Anderson and her husband, Shane Anderson, of Rochdale; two granddaughters, Alyssa Ebert of Hubbardston and Lillian Anderson of Rochdale; two stepchildren, Eirinn Flynn of Winchendon and Sean Flynn of Tewksbury; one sister, Janice Taylor and her husband, Richard Taylor, of Athol; four nieces, Wanda Weatherbee, Melissa Haley, Jamie Taylor and Krystal Morin; along with many dear friends. Robert was born in Gardner to Ero Ahola and Amelia (Dopkant ) Ahola. He was a lifelong resident of Hubbardston and was a 1967 graduate of Athol High School and Mount Wachusett Community in 1969. He served in the Army during the Vietnam war from 1969 to 1971 and was a Bronze Star recipient. He enjoyed watching his beloved Red Sox, listening to good music and celebrating with friends. He will be missed so very much by so many. services will be held on , 14, 2016, at 1 p.m. at the Lamoureux-Fletcher & Smith , 105 Central St., Gardner. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial , Winchendon. Calling hours will be held on , 14, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made in Roberts memory to the Gardner Visiting Association, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA 01440. Obituary: Mr Auvo A. Aho age 91 years died in his daughter Walpole home on Morning 16th, 2009. Born in Wierton, West Virginia, the son of Willliam and Aino (Wikkola) Aho. He served as a Merchant Seaman Veteran of the Winter War from 1939 thru 1940, Finland 2nd Russia Volunteer. Corporal in the Massachusetts National Guard. He has been a resident of Barefoot Bay , Florida for the past 19 years. Mr. Aho was an administrator with the Union Local # 735. He was in charge of and Welfare. A member of the Teamster Local #25 Boston, Glacier Palm Bay Senior , Scandinavian Club of Barefoot Bay, South Brevard Senior , Barefoot Bay Art Guild, member of the Norwood Elk Lodge 1122 where he was Past Ruler , Life Member, and past District Deputy . As an avid outdoorsman he was a charter member and Life Member of the North Walpole Fish and Game Club Beloved husband of the late Violet (Ranta) Aho Loving father of Arlene Thomas of Walpole Cherished grandfather of Steven Thomas, Kevin Thomas , Renee Thomas all of Walpole and the late Peter Thomas Great grandfather of Michael, Scott , Justin Thomas and the late Jacklyn Thomas All services are private at the request of the family. Obituary: Mr. Aaron Alan Aho of Walpole died in the Caritas Norwood Hospital on , 11, 2006 at the age of 81. He was born on 14, 1925 in Quincy, the son of Emil and Lydia (Raitanen) Aho. Mr. Aho attended Quincy Schools before enlisting to serve his country in the United States Navy and was stationed on a submarine. He later went on to work as an architect for Bird & Son in Walpole.
