Obituary: Lisbon - Raymond J. Audet 86 formerly of 44 Russell St. died 1, 2014 at The Lamp Residential with his family at his side. Born in St. Camille de Bellechase P.Q. Canada, son of the late Joseph & Elda Boutin Audet. He was educated at St. Marys school as a youth and received his GED from Lewiston High School 8, 1986. Raymond was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at The Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul. He worked as a weaver at Bates Mfg. Co for 40 plus years prior to his retirement around 1985. Raymond was the caretaker of the family home/ historical landmark The Holland House, as well as caring for his parents, an uncle and his youngest brother. He enjoyed having family and friends to his home and always made them feel welcomed. Having the family reunions at his home brought him great joy. Raymond managed to stay in touch with everyone and keep the family connected. He would visit relatives in Canada, North Carolina, Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. In the early 90s, Raymond started jogging! Jogging here, jogging there. People from the Lewiston/Auburn area would always say here goes that running man. " I see him running all the time! If Ray wasn running, you could always find him working around his house and in his gardens that he was so proud of. Sounding horns and waves as cars passed him working outside were a common occurrence. His hand would just go up and wave without skipping a beat in his chores! Ray is survived by 21 nephews and nieces and loved them all very much: Raymond Audet, Virginia Dunton, Lorraine Purdy, Carolyn Bosely, Kay Pierson, Fay Sherrick, Beatrice King, Rhoda Audet, Leonard Audet, Daniel Audet, Robert Burke, Marguerite Rodrigue, Lillian Burke, Constance Goding, Ronald Burke, Michael Burke, Rick Burke, Bobby Gildea, Louise Vye, Louise Ouellette Quirion and Michelle Bourque; their spouses and children; special friends Don Gaudreau, Ray Whitehouse and Ken Sprague. He has left a legacy of a kind and giving spirit and will remain lovingly in our hearts forever as Mon Oncle Pate. He is predeceased by his mother and father, 4 brothers: Philip, Roland, Joseph and Claude. 5 sisters: Bernadette, Marie, Noella, Florence and Lilianne. 1 niece, Arline and 3 nephews: Armand, Lyle and Harold. Obituary: Leon A. Audet, 96, formerly of Winslow, Maine, passed away peacefully on 18, 2015 at the Veterans Administration Medical in Togus, Maine. He was born in Winslow on 21, 1918, the son of Alphonse and Amanda (Fortier) Audet. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Connie S. Audet of Kennebunk, Maine. Leon was a 1938 graduate of Winslow High School and attended the Coburn Classical Institute, The University of Maine at Brunswick and, later, the Gates business in a. He worked for 28 years for the Internal Revenue Service, retiring in May 1977 in the position of Regional Chief of Audit Review. Following his retirement, he began a tax preparation and accounting business from his Winslow home. Leon was a veteran of World War II and was part of Operation Overlord, the Allied invasion of Normandy on 6, 1944. As a member of the United States Armys 4th Infantry Division, Leon sustained injuries in battle on two different occasions, one after the beach landing and another during the infamous Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded the Purple Heart and was the recipient of numerous commendations and citations. Leon enjoyed golf, camping, reading, sports, big band music, gardening and cooking. He was a lifelong communicant of the Catholic Church and was an appointed Eucharistic Minister at St. John the Baptist Church in Winslow. We worked tirelessly to help a small group of World War II veterans and others to build the Central Maine Veterans Memorial Park in Winslow and took a great deal of pride in what he and the other men were able to accomplish there. In recalling his life, he wrote not long ago, Mom is the dearest and most considerate person I have known. I have loved her all these years and always will. And to his loved ones, You have all been an inspiration and a loving family and I am very proud of all of you. Leon is survived by his sons, Alan and wife Bonita of Cartersville, Georgia, Lee and wife Jennifer of Keene, New Hampshire, Jay and wife Karen of Wells, and Kerry and wife Deborah of Carrabassett Valley, a sister, Rita Poulin of Lewiston, nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren and several very special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Edgar, Edward, Reggie and sisters Florence, Cecile and Lucy. The Audet family wishes to express its heartfelt gratitude to the medical staff at the Maine Veterans Hospitals Patriot Place Unit for its support and compassion during the final months of Leons time with us. A memorial mass will be held at 11 AM on , 31st at St. John the Baptist Church in Winslow. Obituary: GREENE: Dennis L. Audet, 69, of Minot passed away 23, 2015. He was born in Lewiston on 9, 1946 a son of the late Leo and Edna (McWilliams) Audet. He grew up in the Auburn area and attended local schools there. On 20, 1966 he married Linda Fleury at Sacred Heart Church and the two started a family together. During that time, for many years, Dennis worked as a self-employed carpenter. He loved working on and driving classic cars. He was especially proud of his 56 Ford Fairlane. He will always be known and remembered for being a very generous and caring person who could virtually fix anything you put in front of him, yet at the same time was very humble. He was extremely smart and talented and was known by his family and peers as a Mans man. He is survived by his companion, Jackie Latlippe of Poland, his three loving daughters; Kim Haggerty and her husband Peter of Auburn, Brenda Audet of Savannah, GA, and Kelly Blake and her husband Richard of Bow, NH. He also leaves behind a brother, Jimmy Audet of Pahoke, FL, a nephew, Ted Audet of Greene and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Linda Audet in 2006 and two brothers; Johnny and Don Audet.
