Obituary: services for Joseph Joe Alfred Amacker, 77, of Rayville, LA were held at 10:00 AM, , 5, 2016 at Brown-Holley Chapel, Rayville with Chaplin Richard Quintana officiating. Interment followed in the Northeast Louisiana Veterans , Rayville, LA Mr. Joe was born May 14, 1938 in Roseland, LA and passed away , 1, 2016 in Monroe, LA. Joe Amacker holds more patents on Tree Stands than any other manufacturer (23 in all). Since 1965 Amacker has lead the way to a million dollar industry. His compassion for his country, hunting, and helping people, evolved in almost impossible dream to others. This lead to the invention of the first sit down/stand up climber, to the Deer Thief, to the Adjuster Series. No other tree stand company can come close to offering you the versatility, safety and comfort that you will find in an Amacker Tree Stand. He is a living legend of tree stands. This year Amacker is building a limited number of the finest climbing stands and ladder stands in the world. All of our stands will be made out of steel. Steel is stronger, our Deer Thief Magnum and Adjuster Magnum will support up to 500 pounds. Because Joe has been working with steel for 35 years, hes figured out how to make all of our steel stands lighter than most of our competitors aluminum stands of the same class. Our Steel Adjuster is just 8 oz. heavier than the aluminum version. Since Amacker introduced the Adjuster in 1993, everyone else has tried to skirt our patent and make a stand do what the Adjusters can do. Allow the hunter to have a level, therefore safe, platform and top throughout the climb. ve tried worm gears, cranks and all sorts of things to make their stands adjust and they can even steal a good idea successfully. No one is more committed to your safety than Amacker. Amacker Tree Stands are still the only tree stands to come from the factory with a safety belt. We e so committed to your safety, we built the Am-Lock to fit anybodys stand, ours or theirs. This year do yourself a favor... buy an Amacker Tree Stand or Ladder and leave the copies to Xerox. Mr. Joe was in the US Army for 2 years and in the US Navy for 4 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. Mr. Joe is preceded in death by his son, Brandon Joseph Amacker; parents, Norman and Gladys Amacker; sister, Etta Byrd; and grandmother, Etta Old Mama Amacker. Survivors include wife of 36 years, Fredia Amacker; children, Tracy Evans and husband, Chuck, Brandy Benton, and Sammie Jo Amacker; grandchildren, Aimee Mitchell, Joannie Evans, and Jace Benton; great grandchildren, Corbin and Ethan Mitchell; siblings, Barbara Dale Johnson and Trish Goins; special nephew, Donald Servin; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were the members of the Tommie Cook Post 122 American Legion and the VFW of Rayville. Visitation is 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, at Brown-Holley , Rayville. |
