Obituary: Richard Daniel Acton passed away on , May 20, 2021, in Tickfaw, Louisiana, at the age of 73. He was born on , 31, 1947 in Louisville, Missouri to the late Anna Lou Cook and the late Joel Richard Acton. He was a resident of Tickfaw, Louisiana. Richard was a retired horseman and a Navy veteran, as well as a historian of the Civil War. He was a simple man who loved spending time with his grandchildren. Richard is survived by his step-children, Vivian McDonald, Curtis Brown (Debbie), Russel Brown (Julie), Mike Brown (Beth), Elizabeth Brown Bryant (Matthew), and Bobby Brown (Dawn); 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joel Richard and Anna Cook Acton; his wife Barbara Brown-Acton; and his grandchildren, Kevin Brown and Chris Brown. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son in Hammond, 2000 N. Obituary: JESSIE LEE ACREMAN, 82 OAK GROVE, LOUISIANA Cox Oak Grove, Louisiana OAK GROVE, LA - services for Jessie Lee Acreman, age 82, a retired farmer from Oak Grove, Louisiana, will be held at 2PM on , 11, 2014 at Cox Chapel in Oak Grove. Reverend Carlos Trapp will officiate. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove in Oak Grove, Louisiana. Services are under the direction of Cox of Oak Grove. Mr. Acreman passed away , 8, 2014 at West Carroll Memorial Hospital in Oak Grove. Jessie was an Army veteran. He worked for many years at Bennetts Service Station in Oak Grove. He farmed for Robert and Jerry Crnkovic and for Pat Hill prior to retirement. He is preceded in death by his father, Aubrey A. Acreman; his mother, Uner Thrower Acreman; 2 brothers, Billy and Lee Acreman and 4 sisters, Ora Murphy, Annie Ainsworth, Lula Malone and Edna Lester.
