Azar of Cleveland, Ga; 4 brothers, Charles G. Azar of Cumming, George Azar Jr of Tallahassee, FL, Victor G. Azar of Covington, Thomas G Azar of Cumming. Sam was born in Atlanta on 1, 1957. He graduated from MD Collins High School in Park. Sam (Beef) worked as a Fire Fighter for Fulton and a 911 operator for Fulton and City of Roswell Police Department. He loved to tell stories about all his firefighter and 911 buddies and the things they did to and for each other. Sam loved his family and his friends dearly. He loved to take naps with his dog, Buster. He loved to cook for people and to serve others. He had a huge heart and would do almost anything for anybody. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was not perfect but he did his best to put others first. He loved to laugh and to get other people riled up or get a rise out of people. he retired he loved to smoke different meats on his custom trailer smoker. Obituary: Mr. Charles Azar Sandy Springs, Ga. 1, 2952 – 3, 2016 Charles passed away quietly at his home with his wife Cindy by his side. He graduated from Marist High School in 1970 & received a bachelor’s of Business Administration from West Georgia in 1974. Upon graduation Charles joined his father in the family owned business at Azar’s Furniture restoration which was recognized as a prominent restorer of antiques and furniture of historical significance. Charles was a lifelong resident of Sandy Springs, Ga. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl & Cornelia (Najjar) Azar, brothers Carl Azar, Jr., James Azar & sister Nancy Azar Sullivan (Joe Sullivan) . He is survived by his wife of 30 years Cindy W. Azar, many nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends. Obituary: Amelia “Dolly” Maloof Azar entered into eternal rest on 15, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born 9, 1934 in Atlanta to the late Clibe N. and Mary Azar Maloof. Dolly attended Immaculate Conception School and Sacred Heart High School where she was an outstanding basketball all-star. During her working career she became secretary for Georgia Governor Earnest Vandiver. She was a founding member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church and a member of their choir for 50+ years. She also belonged to the Cedar Club of Atlanta, volunteered at Ashton Woods , was a champion ALTA tennis player, an avid Braves fan and the number one fan of each of her children and grandchildren. Dolly was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Dr. Gordon Azar, Sr.. Dolly and Gordon have a unique love story: their expectant mothers would walk together during pregnancy, and after the two were born, with strollers around Grant Park. Dolly is survived by her husband, Dr. Gordon Azar, Sr.; sons, Dr. Gordon Azar, Jr. (Jenny), and David Azar (Jan); daughters, Lynn Foley, Sharisse Johnson, and Marcia Sullivan (Frank); grandchildren, Kristin and Daniel Foley, Ryan and Sean Robinson, Marygrace, Gordon III, and Luke Azar, Andra, Alex, Claire, Michael, and Zachary Sullivan, and Nicole and Andrew Azar. Dolly was preceded in death by one infant son, Joseph. The family will receive friends, 18, 2016 from 6-7 PM followed by the holy rosary and vigil service at 7 PM at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church located at 1350 Hearst Dr. NE, Atlanta, GA 30319. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11AM , 18, 2016 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cancer , the Our Lady of the Assumption choir fund, The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, or the Multiple Myeloma Research foundation. |

Obituary: Tex Azad, loving husband and father, passed away on 30, 2013 at Saint Josephs Hospital in Atlanta, GA after fighting to recover from a major stroke. He is survived by his wife Maryam, and five children Reza, Rodger, Mo, Beni and Ali. He is also survived by nine grandchildren. Tex was a Colonel in the Imperial Iranian Air Force until the 1979 revolution. He supervised training at Columbus AFB in MS, Moody AFB in GA and Dobbins AFB in GA. He later opened his own company selling aircraft instruments and parts in Marietta GA. Tex enjoyed fishing, bowling, and backgammon, watching soccer and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Services will be held this , 6, 2013 at the Georgia Memorial Park and Winkenhofer Chapel at 10 AM. |
