Obituary: Raynold A. Arcuri, MD Dr. Arcuri passed peacefully at Conroe Regional Medical in Conroe, Texas on 22, 2011. Dr. Arcuri was born on 21, 1917, in Mt. Vernon, New York, where he attended local schools. At the age of sixteen, Dr. Arcuri began his pre med studies at Amherst and upon graduation attended New York University School of Medicine. During his residency requirements at New Rochelle Hospital, he met his future bride, Patricia (Mary) Overberger. wed on 15, 1943. During World War II, Dr. Arcuri served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps, as a Captain, and was stationed in Europe. being Honorably Discharged from the service on 1, 1946, Dr. Arcuri and Pat moved to Cresson, Pennsylvania where he was a General Practitioner. Although they enjoyed the rural living in Pennsylvania, Ray and Pats roots were in Westchester, so in 1950 they moved to Pelham, New York. Dr. Arcuri took a residency in Anesthesiology, at Bronx Veterans Hospital and practiced at Mt. Vernon Hospital in that capacity for 34 years. Dr. Arcuri retired and moved to Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and recently relocated to Conroe, Texas where the winters are mild. Ray enjoyed ham radio and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, and five children: Raynold A. Arcuri Jr. of Earlton, NY (wife Carolyn), Suzanne M. Larkin of The Woodlands, TX (husband Brian), Dr. John A. Arcuri of Marion, MA (wife Nancy), Ellen Arcuri of Cicero of Bethel, CT (husband Joseph), and Paul A. Arcuri of South Pasadena, CA. Dr. Arcrui is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M., , 4, 2011 with a Rosary/Vigil Service at 5:30 P.M. in the Chapel at Forest Park The Woodlands . A Mass of Christian Burial is set for 11:30 P.M., 5, 2011 at Sts. Simon & Jude Catholic Church, 26777 Glen Loch Dr., The Woodlands, TX 77381. Burial will follow in Forest Park The Woodlands . |

Obituary: Mary Patricia Arcuri passed away on , May 10, 2011 at Odyssey Hospice in Conroe after a courageous battle with melanoma. Her great faith sustained her during her illness and all the trials in her life. She was never without a Rosary and prayed daily for her family Pat was born on 12, 1935 to Isadore and Rosella Overberger who preceded her in death. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Raynold A. Arcuri, who died on 22, 2011. Beloved children, Renny (Carolyn) of Earlton, NY, Suzanne (Brian) Larkin of The Woodlands, TX, John (Nancy) of Marion, MA, Ellen Arcuri Cicero (Joseph) of Bethel, CT, Paul Arcuri of South Pasadena, CA. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Paino of Pearl River, NY and her nieces, Patricia Paino of Pearl River, NY and Barbara Keber of Glen Cove, NY. She was the adored grandmother of Andrew (Katrina) Larkin, Matthew Larkin, Ryan Cicero (Maria), Brenna Cicero, Mary-Cate Cicero, Meghan Cicero, Lauren Arcuri, John Paul Arcuri and Nikki Arcuri. She was also survived by three great grandchildren, Conner, Alexis and Brooke Larkin and one expected in . Pat enjoyed her career of teaching elementary education in The Archdiocese of New York for 24 years. She was involved with The Girl Scouts of Westchester with both of her daughters. Pat and her husband, Ray, raised their five children in Pelham, NY where she was a parishioner of St. Catharines until her retirement in 1996. She and her husband, Ray, built a home in Yarmouthport, MA where her children and grandchildren enjoyed many wonderful vacations. Pat worked at the Hallmark Store in Hyannis, MA until she and her husband relocated to The Woodlands, TX for milder winters. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and sang in the choir up until her illness kept her at home. She will be greatly missed by all those who had the chance to know her. Well done, Mom and Nana, good and faithful servant. Donations may be made in her memory to the Odyssey Hospice in Conroe, TX. |
